$10 Dinner Box From Pizza Hut

When I order pizza online, I always check out the DEALS tab. We tried their Pan Pizza with 5 toppings and it was only $10. It was good and huge too. Yesterday, we decided to try their $10  DINNER BOX for a change. This box has medium rectangular 1-topping pizza, 5 bread sticks with marinara dipping sauce, and 10 cinnamon sticks with icing which I super like. This box is good for 6 but, since we are only two, we got so much left for midnight snacks. Try it! It tastes good and the cinnamon sticks is my favorite in this box.

Tasty Homebake Pandesal

Once in a while, I bake Pandesal. My husband calls this bread - hot rolls. In the Philippines, pandesal is mostly eaten for breakfast paired with hotdogs and scrambled or sunny side-up eggs with a hot cup of instant (Nescafe) coffee. I seldom eat breakfast so; I love eating pandesal at merienda time especially on weekends. This is easy to make even though the hardest part for me is kneading but, it's all worth it at the end. For this preparation, I divide 3 equal cuts and save the 2 parts for the next day or two. One part is enough to make us a dozen of hot pandesal. A consumption that can last for two days. Here's the tasty pandesal I made yesterday ... freshly bake from the oven.

Ingredients:

bread flour, bread crumbs, sugar, salt, active dry yeast, milk, unsalted butter, and one egg.

Procedure:
1. Yeast Mixture: Add 1 tbsp of active dry yeast to 1 cup warm milk and 1 tbsp of sugar. Stir and let set for 15 minutes. The sugar is important to give the yeast energy to grow.

2. Milk Mixture: In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup milk and half of the unsalted butter and use the microwave to melt the butter about a minute. Stir and make sure the butter is all melted. Add 1/2 milk and one egg to the mixture and beat together.

3. In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients : 5 cups of bread flour, 1 1/2 tsp of salt, 1 cup of sugar then, mix together.

4. Add the (1) yeast mixture to the (2) milk mixture and beat together.

5. Add this (4)mixture to the mixing bowl of dry ingedients. Mix it well about 10 minutes or more. It is better to use your hand to mix all the ingredients inside the bowl. Add a cup of flour gradually until the dough clears the side of the bowl. Form a dough ball and it should be wet enough ... not too wet.

6. Once you form a dough ball, continue kneading on the floured clean surface for few minutes until all the ingredients are mix together. Make a dough ball and put it back to the mixing bowl and let it sit for 45 minutes. Cover the bowl with a clean and moist towel.

7. Divide the dough into 3 equal cuts. Roll each dough into a cylindrical shape and slice it to make an individual pieces of pandesal.

8. Roll the sliced dough into the breadcrumbs.

9. Put the pieces (cut side up) into the baking tray and let it sit for 30 minutes to rise.

10. Bake in 350 degrees in a pre-heated oven for 15 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

11. Enjoy!

You can do it even if you are not a baker. Practice makes perfect. Thanks for stopping by.

Good Places to Dine

I woke up craving for yummy foodies. For two days hubby and I just lounging at home watching TV, grilling at the backyard, doing gardening and facebooking. Oh yeah, social media is just a good place to snoop some interesting stories about friends and of course, we knew that people snooped us too. Well, I downloaded pictures of food most of the time so; people might think I eat a lot! LOL, whatever (*-*) Anyway, here is a picture of good food from Panera Bread: sandwich and soup.

The second photo is one of my favorites in Ruby Tuesday. This is Chicken Trio which is basically tender all-natural chicken breasts done in three ways: fresco, bella, and mango salsa as toppings and served over rice pilaf as one of the sides.

The last photo is super quenching Strawberry Mango Limonata at Olive Garden. I guess today, we need to dine out and watch a movie.

Try these when you visit Panera Bread, Ruby Tuesday and Olive Garden, you will enjoy your meal definitely. See yah and thanks for stopping by.

Yummy Foodies for Breakfast Eh

My husband said, I have weird eating choices. When I wanted to eat french fries with lots of cheese and corned beef, I can eat it anytime of the day for so many days. Breakfast? Oh yeah! But, when I am done with it, I won't eat it for the rest of the year... weird huh! This is my typical breakfast. I can live with this too. But, I can't eat it every single day. I would rather have a steamed rice and salted fish every day than have this. Again, my hubby said I am weird because I eat rice every meal LOL. Filipinos eat rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner LOL and they only eat on occasion. Here is a snack for me but, for Americans, this is lunch.Cereals, juice and milk, not my kind a breakfast but, I can eat it sometimes.I like Cheerios brand with Honey. I can drink milk but, should be full cream. I can drink juice but should be sweet and not sour. Anyway, I am not picky on food. I eat what my taste buds dictate. If I like the taste, I can eat it everyday until I am over it. I guess I am weird LOL.

Panera Bread

Before the New Year, Hubby and I went to the Mellenia Mall here in Orlando to exchange the jewelry that he bought for me. I wanted a cross necklace but in gold chain. The sales-person at ZALES is a Filipino (mom came from Cebu and dad from Zamboanga) but, he was born here in US. They have no stock for the gold cross but then, he showed me the earring/necklace set. Even though it was a bit pricey, it was a good deal so, we bought it. On the way out, Panera Bread is just right at the corner so, we dine in.I ordered the all-natural Sonoma Chicken Stew with Dry Jack Cheese Biscuit. Honestly, I love the chicken stew but, not the biscuit. The creamy chicken stew has Parisian carrots, peas, leeks and diced red potatoes simmered with sweet cream and thyme. It is my favorite aside from Broccoli Cheddar. In another time, I ordered the Smoked Ham & Swiss which is a 96% fat-free smoked ham and swiss with leaf lettuce, tomatoes, red onions with salt and pepper. It is pretty good.
As you can see in this Sonoma Soup, it comes with panini but, on this order, I had a burned Panini. I did not bother to complain because I was hungry and I do not want to deal about it. I think I will not order this panini anymore. I rather order the Tuna Salad Cafe Sandwich.
This location of Panera Bread is in Florida Mall.
If you can visit a Panera Bread in your area, try the Sonoma Soup with Smoked Ham and Swiss Cafe Sandwich.
Here in Orlando, visit 4200 Conroy Rd Orlando, Florida 32839 with tel number (407) 363-3555. You can also visit #1117 Florida Mall Avenue Orlando, FL 32809 (407) 856-6706. Enjoy your meals.

Panera Bread in Florida Mall

After shopping at Florida Mall, I was hungry for a Panera Bread meal. Hubby and I went there for lunch and I ordered the Smoked Ham and Swiss. Panera Bread baked their own bread and this cafe sandwich is a healthy food. A Fresh bread with 96% fat-free smoked ham, Swiss cheese, leaf lettuce, tomatoes and red onions. I choose the Pick-Two meal so this is only a half sandwich which is really affordable. My meal won't be complete without my favorite pastries. This is Bear Claw which is made with an almond filling and drizzled with icing and sliced almonds. In Pick-Two menu, I can choose a sandwich and a soup. The picture below is a one of the signature soups and stews of Panera Bread. The soup is served with freshly baked bread and this is called the all-natural Sonoma Chicken Stew. Swimming in the stew is actually the dry Jack cheese biscuit and Sonoma Chicken Stew is the latest addition of Panera Bread's signature soups. The creamy chicken stew with Parisian carrots, peas, leeks and diced red potatoes taste really good and delicious. This soup is simmered with sweet cream and thyme.
Check out Panera Bread in your neighborhood. I am sure you will like their bread and pastries in the Bakery as well as their delicious food in the Cafe.

Eat Eat Eat!

I noticed that I have been very busy doing things outside from the blogging world. For me, it is really great because I enjoyed being in the real world. Eating is always a fun thing to do and dining out is always in our system. Hubby and I are always on the go so, we resort to dining out as an easy thing to do. We love to cook but, when we have errands to do, dining out is more convenient. This plate is from OLIVE GARDEN, an Italian fine dining and one of our favorite places to go whenever we need a good meal. (Fettuccini and chicken parmigiana)By the look of this bowl, I know this is Broccoli Cheddar Cheese Soup from PANERA BREAD. Oh this is really good. I can eat this for lunch and I will be good for the rest of the day.I am not a baby-back-ribs fan but, this is not bad at all. In fact, this food taste good and the tender-licking ribs are so delicious. This plate is from IKEA food restaurant and we ate before we roam the store, usually! We visit IKEA to eat and then, check out new display. We do that when we are bored!
Okay, this is Welch's fruit snacks that I always have in the car. When I am hungry, this is my tummy's saviour. This is FAT FREE, Gluten free and no preservatives so, a good snacks fo me.Anyway, whenever we dine at PANERA BREAD, I always order anything that I like to try in the bakery. When I ate this, I sliced the white stuff -take it off, it's just too sweet for me.
So, this is what I do when I am off the PC. Eat! Oh, I weight 47 kls, not bad huh? I am only 5ft so, though I eat a lot, my metabolism burns the calories so fast.

Good Morning

Good morning everyone! What's for breakfast? I am not really a morning person but, I eat a lot (",). I am a Filipino so I prefer plain white rice and dried fish and dunk it to a spicy vinegar. Im drooling for this food right now. Anyway, I cannot have that so; an alternate is an egg 'tortilla' with mushroom and lots of cheese in it with a tasty bagel.I had this breakfast while we dine in the Palace Restaurant in the Norwegian Sky Cruise on the date specified in the picture. The server that we have is a Filipino and we gave him a tip for a good service.
Anyway, I am hungry right now so; I guess I will have my rice with an egg and cheese omellette. Let's eat!

Delicious Treats

These are the delicious treats from Panera Bread Bakery and cafe'. I love their soups and rolls but, since all the bakery items will cost only 99 cents when I order a regular meal then; I might as well take advantage of the promo. I have this roll which is so sweet topped with crunchy pecan. If you love cakes and pastries, you will like this sweet dough with cinnamon-sugar filling, topped with caramel & pecans. Here is another treat from the bakery, a bear claw. If you buy a bakery item in a regular price, it would cost $2 or more but, with the promo of 99 cents, that's a good deal! Bear claw is made with an almond filling, drizzled with icing and sliced almonds. I usually eat it without the icing. This is my favorite and I crave this meal once in a while. This is a creamy broccoli cheddar soup which is a chopped broccoli, shredded carrot and seasonings simmered in a velvety smooth cheese sauce. The same menu but, the bread was used as a bowl for the soup. I first saw this food on Food Network Channel when the chef introduced his favorite food. I was influenced and so, I found it and now, it's one of my favorites.
Visit Panera Bread in your area and check this out. Let me know if you like my recommendations. Have fun dining!

Flatbread at Subway

It has been a long time since I ordered a Five Dollar Footlong Sandwich at Subways. Hubby and I were waiting for his prescription at the Wal-Mart Pharmacy so; we decided to wait in Subways. We saw a $3 combo which is a flatbread and coffee comes with it. OMG! You should try the flatbread at Subways. It is really delicious and very healthy too.
If the footlong is too huge for your appetite, or hard for the bite, you can order a flatbread.
Try the combo first and if you love it, you can order the regular size flatbread.

Buffet at the Beau Rivage

Dining out is just one of the activities that we enjoyed doing while we live in Mississippi. So, when we had our week long vacation last week, we had our breakfast at the Beau Rivage. It was a Wednesday so, the Beau had a buffet deal for seniors. We only paid $19.00 for the three of us at the Beau Rivage Hotel and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. When I was working in the casino a year ago, I was in the graveyard shift and in the morning, we always dine out for breakfast. I miss that! All casinos in the area have a buffet all day long. I do not prepare for our breakfast anymore so, when I arrive home, I can sleep for the day.
This is the main lobby of the Beau Rivage. The buffet area is at the right end part of the lobby, behind that tree. The food is delicious and there are so much to choose from. Breakfast is usually less than $10/person but, for Mondays, Beau has specials for military: 2 for 1 breakfast/lunch. Every Tuesdays, the kids eat for free; Wednesdays, seniors are charged half price. Other casinos have their own specials too. When we dine out before, we always go to the places with good deals.I can only have two plates and I am full. Well, for a price of $10, the breakfast buffet in the Beau is my favorite. This is the buffet area of the Beau Rivage. The selections of the food goes all the way to the left side. They have salads for the vegetarians too with wide selections of greens. Oh! I just love this place!

Brocolli Cheddar Soup of Panera

I love watching Food Network. For me, it is entertaining to watch a cooking show by celebrity chef's like Wolfgang Puck, Rachel Ray, Tyler Florence, Bobby Flay, Emeril "Bam" Lagasse and many more. I love watching Iron Chef, Hell's Kitchen and more. I can watch all the shows all day! Food Network has this show, showcasing the favorite food of the celebrity chef. This particular bread was featured and indeed, it taste so delicious and not only that, it's healthy and good for the body!I love Broccoli and I love Cheddar Cheese, when combined? This is the product. So cheesy and so yummy! This soup contains milk, soy, wheat and for every serving, definitely has 0 sugars, 0 trans fatty acids, 0 caffeine. When you visit Panera Bread, the nutrition calculator for their product is displayed. People here are seriously health conscious that is why, this is their way of showing to their customers that they mean "customer satisfaction" comes first.
This is $5.49 and the price is just right for a delicious soup like this one. Visit the Panera Bread in your area. This is my entry for this week and thanks for coming.
