Orlando Airport Ale House

Bits of crispy bacon, lots of cheese and fries ... dang ... that's what I craved when I had my migraine. Oh yeah, it helps a lot. Lower your eyebrows friends, LOL. When we went to Saint Cloud, Florida, my migraine was kickin' in. With misty eyes, was burnin' hot and my mind wandered what I would do for relief. A good cold shower helps a bit but, since we were on the road traveling for almost two hours in a scorching heat, pain was really bad. After meeting with a friend, hubby mentioned about Ale House. Oh my goodness, I remember this:

I told him, we will have lunch at Ale House and we drove 35 minutes from Saint Cloud to the Airport Ale House. I ordered the ALE HOUSE LOADED FRIES, a pound of seasoned fries with melted jack and Cheddar Cheeses, scallions, bacon bits and ranch dressing for dipping. This is humongous so; I end up asking for a box after the meal. Burp! Oppsss ...

A blurry shot huh? This is hubby's favorite, FRENCH ONION SOUP: onions sauteed in a sherry broth and smothered in a thick layer of provolone cheese. I did not try but he said this is his all time favorite soup.

The husband ordered this too but, we shared. BABY BACK RIBS half rack is one of the specialty at Miller's Ale House. Fall off the bone indeed! It is slow cooked and smothered with southern BBQ Sauce served with choice of Potato and cole slaw. We were so full and had no space for dessert (wink).

On our next visit, I will try the OSSOBUCO. The picture looks good but, was not too thrilled to eat at that time. It is a marinated pork shank served with mashed potatoes,  gravy and vegetable of the day. Sounds delicious right? When we went home, my migraine slowly disappear. (wink) ...

Clams and Eggdrop Soup

These foods make me hungry right now. I am certain that after my blog update, my venue will be the kitchen. Hubby and I love to dine out. What do we have to do? It's just the two of us you know. For no occasion, if we feel like going out somewhere, off we go.  Anyway, do you go to a fine dining or buffet type of restaurant? For me, when I am hungry, I want to fed my tummy ASAP so; I go for the latter LOL.

Do you eat seafood? My favorite is Clam. Clams are low fat and high protein seafood. Most of all, if clams are cooked like how the Chinese does, that's perfect and no fried clams for me too. Egg drop soup is another favorite food that I love to include in my meal. Sometimes, egg drop soup is so good but, other times, its not. It really depends who made them. Why I love clams and egg drop soup? It reminded me of my moms home cooked food you know. Filipino foods are the best!

Panera Bread at Fashion Square Mall in Orlando

"We are bakers of bread. We are fresh from the oven.
We are a symbol of warmth and welcome.
We are a simple pleasure, honest and genuine.
We are a life story told over dinner.
We are a long lunch with an old friend.
We are your weekday morning ritual.
We are the kindest gesture of neighbors.
We are home.
We are family. We are friends."

Fashion Square Mall is located in East Colonial Drive in Orlando, Florida. It is a two-story indoor shopping mall where locals and tourists can shop in Dillard's, JC Penney, Macy's and Sears. When I wanted to have an easy shopping experience and avoid the rush of tourists, Fashion Square Mall is a good place to shop and Panera Bread is a favorite restaurant that hubby and I love to hang out.

Anyway, I love this location because the staffs are friendly in fact, I saw people taking advantage of their FREE WiFi for the longest time and yet, Panera Bread consider the costumers friends and family, as what was stated above.

My favorite cafe soup is Broccoli Cheddar which is chopped broccoli, shredded carrot and select seasonings simmered in a velvety smooth cheese sauce.  The photo above is tuna sandwich with leaf lettuce, tomatoes and red onions, my personal favorite sandwich. Oh you should check out Panera Bread at Fashion Square Mall.

Yummy Sunday Yumminess

Dining out can be very expensive but, my husband and I enjoyed it. Sometimes, we used coupons that was sent to us through the mail. One of our friends watch the NBA games and is a fan of Orlando Magic. His tickets come with a Free "pick-two" order which is about $7 and he gave us some of the coupons.Hubby loves the soups here and I love what they have in their bakery. I like the patries and rolls. This is bear claw which is made with almond filling, drizzled with icing and sliced almonds ( too sweet for me ).Hubby ordered a vegetarian creamy tomato pureed with fresh cream and taste so velvety and full of flavor with hints of red pepper and oregano, topped with Asiago croutons.Sorry but, not my most favorite. I like broccoli cheddar and sonoma chicken stew.I ordered a Mediterranean Veggie with peppers, feta cheese, cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and cilantro Jalapeño hummus on the Tomato Basil bread. It is good but, not my kind a sandwich. This is my yummy Sunday entry. Thanks for the visit.

Panera Bread

Before the New Year, Hubby and I went to the Mellenia Mall here in Orlando to exchange the jewelry that he bought for me. I wanted a cross necklace but in gold chain. The sales-person at ZALES is a Filipino (mom came from Cebu and dad from Zamboanga) but, he was born here in US. They have no stock for the gold cross but then, he showed me the earring/necklace set. Even though it was a bit pricey, it was a good deal so, we bought it. On the way out, Panera Bread is just right at the corner so, we dine in.I ordered the all-natural Sonoma Chicken Stew with Dry Jack Cheese Biscuit. Honestly, I love the chicken stew but, not the biscuit. The creamy chicken stew has Parisian carrots, peas, leeks and diced red potatoes simmered with sweet cream and thyme. It is my favorite aside from Broccoli Cheddar. In another time, I ordered the Smoked Ham & Swiss which is a 96% fat-free smoked ham and swiss with leaf lettuce, tomatoes, red onions with salt and pepper. It is pretty good.
As you can see in this Sonoma Soup, it comes with panini but, on this order, I had a burned Panini. I did not bother to complain because I was hungry and I do not want to deal about it. I think I will not order this panini anymore. I rather order the Tuna Salad Cafe Sandwich.
This location of Panera Bread is in Florida Mall.
If you can visit a Panera Bread in your area, try the Sonoma Soup with Smoked Ham and Swiss Cafe Sandwich.
