Juicy Grilled Ribs

Isn't this good or what? While watching Food Network Channel, boy oh boy ... I was hungry. When I checked the fridge, I found a baby-back ribs. I was so delighted because I can eat a big meal. We have an outdoor grill and we used it a lot. This time, I used the indoor grill besides, I only prep for 1 pound of baby back ribs.

I don't know how you prepare your ribs but mine, I usually brine the meat. 1 hour is fine but, an overnight will tastes better. It will be juicy, tasty and tender. I love using meat that has a little fats on it. With spices, the more ... the merrier! I always love well-done so, the photo below is mine and the first photo is hubby's share.

I am a fan of homemade mashed potato now so; the potato above is alright. I really don't care because I was hungry. We always have vegetables in every plate so, the green beans are just perfect on this plate. Let's chow friends. After devouring this food, I resumed watching TV LOL. Anyway, what's your favorite home cook food?

My Hearty Lunch

I woke up late so I decided to have brunch. My husband finds my combo food selection as weird hahaha. I have yet to cook my steamed rice so; since I have a macaroni salad, that will be perfect for my porkchop while waiting for my rice to cook. Oh my goodness, this fills me up.

What's yours?

Mashed Potato with Onion Gravy and Pork Chop

How are you today friends? Have you noticed that time flies so fast? It's already Hump day tomorrow.  I thought I just went to mass yesterday. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas but, I don't want it so soon. Uh uh, I need more time to save for buying gifts. Anyway, are you ready for Thanksgiving? If you do, good for you! Oh my goodness, I am  not!

Hubby and I just hangout at home today, I was doing my blog updates so; I told him he had to fix for lunch. He gladly fix for less than 30 minutes and here's what we have on the table. Fresh and crunchy tomato in Olive Oil, mashed potato with onion gravy sauce and tender pork chop.

Oh my goodness, right now I am so full. I think I will need a power nap in few minutes. How about you? What's for lunch?

Lean Meat

When I am craving for protein food, lean meat is the best option. Yet, I was leaning on baby back ribs since we bought our fancy grill. Hubby and I had been backyard grilling for days and we even set up our dinners at the gazebo. I have my way of preparing lean meat on the grill and whenever I bought chicken, the skin and fat are trimmed off. Tedious but, worth the effort. Protein is important for nourishment, growth and development of our body. According to the study, white meat in chicken and turkey are good source of protein too. It contains low calories compared to dark meat. For some reason, we still have to find fish particularly fresh tuna to grill. Tuna is in the category of lean meat including catfish, crab, lobster and more. Based on what I read, meat does not contain carbohydrates so; it does not raise blood glucose levels and it is good on a diabetic diet. If the meat is breaded then; it contains carbohydrates. That's another topic to discuss. Let's chow!

At The Beau Rivage Breakfast Buffet

We dine in at the Beau Rivage for breakfast and on Thursdays, the price is back to regular for Seniors. But, the food is still great for a $10 price in the buffet. This is actually my second plate and I ate it all. Oh, I just love the cherry tomato in my salad.
Hubby and I had our week-long vacation in Mississippi and we stayed at the Beau Rivage Hotel and Casino. We miss the buffet in every casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. The choices are so many and so affordable. You will never get hungry with seafoods in this area. I love my porkchop and I miss it already.

Chinese Pork and Vegetable with Cashew

There are times that I crave for chinese food and just a simple order like this will satisfy me for the whole week. Italian and Asian food is savory and tasty unlike mostly of the American food that I ate, mostly bland...sorry but, that's just my opinion. I remember that when I worked in the casino, I have to put salt and pepper on my food just to give it a flavor.Anyway, I can eat this serving for two days. It's truly satisfying! Check it out! The vegies are crunchy and if you are allergic with nuts, you can ask them for an alternate ingredient. Enjoy your day! Chow!

Pork Skins

I miss chicharones and I found it! They call it Pork Skins here and sold in different flavors: hot and spicy, barbecue, mild, original, and etc. When I eat pork skins, I have to prepare a vinegar and dunk it in:-), so yummy!

Ruby Tuesday's Baby Back Ribs

Last Tuesday, we dine in at Ruby Tuesday at the Florida Mall because I craved for baby-back ribs. I ordered the Asian Sesame Glazed Baby-Back Ribs, it's a slow-cooked half rack covered with peanut-barbecue sauce such a sweet and tangy taste. Of course, what you see on top of the baby-back ribs are sesame seeds.
Since it comes along with two sides, I chose the mash potato and rice pilaf. This is a large portion for me so I always asked for a box to take it home with me. I love the rice pilaf, not a big fan really but, this works for me. Will I recommend this for lunch or dinner? Certainly will! Try it! This is my entry for this week's Yummy Sunday! Thanks for stopping by!

Pork Stir Fry

My hubby loves this food and he calls it stir fry. My ingredients include pork, chopped onions, green and red bell peppers, salt to taste/magic sarap, and Datu Puti soy sauce.

If you are the cook for your family then, by just looking at this picture, you already know how to "merge" them. Bam! Bam! That's Emeril's shoutout! LOL! Just showing the pic, I am not a cook though.
