Catering Business

Contribution by Kennith Griffin:

When my sister was in college, she worked part time for a catering company and restaurant. During the week she worked as a pastry chef and cook for the restaurant. On the weekends, she got to help cater all of these fancy events. She made pretty good money for it only being a part time job. She was an education major, but she recently decided that she wanted to open her own catering company. My grandparents used to own a restaurant, and although the restaurant is not open anymore, they still own the space. They told her she could use the space to get started with her company. She went to t1.xo to set up internet for the company, and set up all of the other utilities for the restaurant too. Once she had all of that handled, she was able to focus on the more fun stuff, like the menu. She asked me to come in once a week and be a taste tester. I happily agreed. I know that she is a pretty good cook, and I love to try new foods. She has a pretty good set of recipes to put on the menu and hopefully she will be opening her company very soon.
