Seafood Lunch with Chef Ron

My husband and I dine out a lot but, there are times that we just love to hang out at home and just enjoy cooking. My husband was a cook in the army for more than a decade. That was when he was assigned in Germany primarily for the general and his family. I admit that he is a good cook but, when I cook for him, he loves it always especially the food with gravy.

Here's my lunch for the day. A baked salmon fish and an onion-lime shrimp. Let's chow!

Breakfast at the Restaurant in IKEA Home Store

It's been a while since we last visited IKEA Home Store. I miss dining in their restaurant before we head to shopping. My husband and I usually go there to unwind, eat and have a little shopping. That's always the plan but, we end up shopping for more and eat less LOL. IKEA has this FREE breakfast freebies on certain days and sometimes, we were able to avail it. The picture below is usually the free breakfast plate ... good food huh?

This is hubby's plate, biscuits and gravy. IKEA coffee is one of my favorites. Since we are members of IKEA Family Club, we can avail and enjoy free coffee or hot tea every time we visit the restaurant! Become a member today, it is FREE!

I usually do not take photos with people but, I just want to show you one section of the restaurant. The Industrial ceiling is cool huh?

The croissant is not my favorite but, it was good. Croissant is a buttery flaky viennoiserie bread roll which is named for its well-known crescent shape. Do you like it?

I love having breakfast in IKEA. Weekdays are the best time to shop in IKEA and early morning because the crowd is tolerable. We plan to go there next week and buy some accessories for the bathroom and living room. Thanks for stopping by. Check out my post tomorrow. Stay happy.

Asian Buffet

I love to travel and one activity that is very important for me is checking out fine dining and buffet restaurants in the area. If I am not that hungry, I usually prefer fine dining. That is not the case when I am famished. I don't want to wait a long queue to be seated plus, waiting time for the order to serve on the table usually 15 minutes or more. My grumpy tummy would be complaining by then so; buffet is good.

All these photos were taken in a Chinese Restaurant in Singing River Mall in Mississippi. I told you I love to travel and yep, been there.

Just last week, when hubby and I traveled to the Midwest, I was so hungry and was craving for steamed rice. The only place to buy a good steamed rice is Asian Restaurant. We stop at Chattanooga Tennessee and bought myself a take out Chinese foodies. That food really fills me up until the next day.

Last Monday while we were driving home, I was craving again for steamed rice and spring rolls. Thank goodness for a Korean restaurant, I was able to buy the food.

I can't live without rice in a day I guess. Check out these desserts. I love cheesecake and brownies. They are so good and when I ate desserts, I always order coffee with cream. Such a delightful meal for me.

How about you? Do you prefer fine dining or buffet? If you happen to pass by in Biloxi, Mississippi, you should check out the buffet in their casinos. OMG! Very festive, affordable and yummy!

Bubba Gump Shrimp Restaurant and Market

When we went to Miami the other day, hubby and I decided to just hit the AIA road. If you look at the map, it is a scenic route. If you love nature, beach, tourist area and bikini baby hehehe, AIA route is the best way to have a road trip. Anyway, from Downtown Miami, we hit Miami Beach up to the North Beach and parked our car at Sunny Isles Beach to take some pictures. Then, moved on to South Beach Park and finally stop and find good eats along Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard. Oh my goodness, this area has awesome beach, endless restaurants, hotels are endless and anyone will have fun under the sun. We just saw the Bubba Gump Restaurant along the road so; we decided to dine in and checked it out.The picture below is the view from where we chose to sit. Isn't it gorgeous? This time of year, there are tourist in this area but not crowded which I really love.I ordered the Cajun Shrimp which was sautéed in a hot and spicy Cajun Butter Sauce and served with Garlic Bread for dippin. The price is not bad for $8.99 as one of their signature dish. Hubby tried their Seafood Hush Pups which is truly not the quite Hush Puppies. It taste good and even better with tasty Shrimp and Fish and cooked to perfection. This golden Corn was deep fried and served with a Remoulade Dippin’ Sauce for $8.29. See the picture above.Hubby and I enjoyed these signature appetizers at Bubba Gump and we are looking forward to come back and try their other seafood menu. If you happen to be in Miami or Fort Lauderdale area, head the Beach Boulevard and you will not miss the Bubba Gump Restaurant. Enjoy the food and the beach! Be safe!
