Seafood Lunch with Chef Ron

My husband and I dine out a lot but, there are times that we just love to hang out at home and just enjoy cooking. My husband was a cook in the army for more than a decade. That was when he was assigned in Germany primarily for the general and his family. I admit that he is a good cook but, when I cook for him, he loves it always especially the food with gravy.

Here's my lunch for the day. A baked salmon fish and an onion-lime shrimp. Let's chow!

Fine Dining at Red Lobster

Sea foods. When I crave for one, Red Lobster is the answer. Here is the tender and juicy Garlic Shrimp Scampi which is oven-broiled in garlic butter sauce.
This platter has Farm-Raised Catfish in golden-fried, shrimp scampi and delicious scallops with wild rice pillaf.
the Bahama Mama which is a specialty drink...Fresh, crisp romaine lettuce tossed with Caesar dressing
...more salads......my favorite scallops...

Remember, stay healthy for 2012. Have a blessed new year everyone.

Seafood Galore

We went to the shrimpboats at the back of Hard Rock Biloxi and bought 20lbs of jumbo shrimps for $4/lb to give to friends back to Florida. The price of small shrimps in Orlando is $9/lb just like the picture below. What we have is really bigger than this.
This shrimp is small size. It is usually priced as $2/lb but, we wanted a jumbo so, that's what we got.
My husband ate the crab meat which I am not a fan of. I was actually looking for crawfish but, this is not it's season. So, no one sells crawfish at this time.
This is the blue crab which is a famous catch along the Gulf Coast. They are so beautiful and big too. If it is a crab season, you can catch it easy.
Well, the house smells like shrimps now. Let's chow everyone!
