Home Cooked Meals Are Always Good

Every other afternoon when hubby and I feel like eating ribs, we are grilling and feasting food in our backyard. Having to fix dinner at home is more fun. When we live in Mississippi, we dine out every day especially breakfast and dinner. I was working on a graveyard shift so; before we hit home, we had our breakfast at Satisfaction Buffet at Hardrock casino and hotel or at The Buffet in Isle Casino and Hotel or at the Beau Rivage.

Food is always great and don't get me wrong, less than $13 for two is not bad spending. The buffet in the casinos in Biloxi Mississippi is affordable. I sleep all day and would wake up for lunch. Usually, my father-in-law would treat us for a fine dining or to a Chinese restaurant. Most of the people in that Chinese Restaurant knew us and would always direct us to our favorite area. We go home and I would go back to sleep and woke up for dinner time. Casinos are like 10 minutes away and their buffets have tons of selections to be festive so; that was our life.

At 10 PM, I go to my workplace which is also a casino. Food is free and we have our own cook so; we can request for hot meals. Though I was eating a lot, I maintain below 100 lbs. Anyway, we enjoyed our kitchen and we love to cook. We baked our foods and grilled baby back ribs a lot. Home cooked meals are always good and no worries coz we do workout (*-*). This is my entry for this week's Yummy Sunday.

Back to Grilling

I am almost done doing the DIY patio and hubby is preparing dinner from the grill. I thought I will be done in four days but, the weather halted my project. There were gusty winds yesterday and I thought, it would blow off the newly put-up canopy. Glad, it made it! When TS Isaac passes by the Florida territory, we took down the canopy for at least 3 days. Yesterday was already 91 degrees and no sign of Isaac but, there was few isolated rain bands left by Isaac. It was about 20 minutes but, nasty. Whewww, it scared me. Up to today, there are pretty decent showers from time to time. Anyway, that will not stop us from grilling!

Grilling

Hubby and I love to use our grill and when we crave for baby back ribs, we just hit Publix nearby and buy a nicely cut and fresh ribs. We usually seasoned the ribs with Chinese herbs and spices, boil it and when it's already half cook, we grill it to finish up. We have slices of grilled onions, green pepper and red tomatoes for a side dish. We usually cannot eat this in one meal. But, to make the most of the charcoal we grilled pound of ribs and sausages. Let's chow peeps! Looks like a dry rub huh? I eat mine like this and I do not need a barbecue sauce but, hubby did. The meat is so tender and most of the bones will separate from the meat. Yum!

Chicken Trio at Ruby Tuesdays

If you haven't tried the sumptuous Chicken Trio menu at Ruby Tuesdays, you should try it on your next visit. The chicken breasts are super tender and done in three ways: fresco, bella, and mango salsa as toppings. I can't really pick which one tastes better because I love the three variations. Chicken Trio is served over rice pilaf on the side. The chicken fresco is a juicy and all-natural grilled chicken breast with vine-ripened tomatoes, lemon butter, and a splash of balsamic vinaigrette. I am drooling right now just by looking at this meal. The chicken bella is a sautéed baby portabella mushrooms and artichokes in a Parmesan cream sauce over a fresh, grilled chicken breast. This is so creamy and tastes equally good as the fresco. Well, just try this and I am sure you will love it.

Grilled Chicken Caprese at Olive Garden

If you love Italian Food, I suggest that you should check out Olive Garden. I was not so hungry but, I crave for Grilled Chicken Caprese at Olive Garden the other day. I ordered Strawberry-Mango lemonata which is a refreshing strawberry and mango purée. It is mixed with sweet lemonade and sliced strawberries. My grilled chicken caprese is a light meal with mozzarella, sun-dried tomato and basil pesto spread in it. This menu comes with a soup so; I ordered the spicy Zuppa Toscana. It has a spicy sausage, russet potatoes and cavolo greens in a creamy broth. You should try it when you visit Olive Garden.
