Beautiful Wedding Ring Set

What a great looking piece of jewelry isn't it? This is no ordinary jewelry and I am not talking about the price for it is only about $600. I say great because anyone who wears this set will be bound to walk down the aisle. Gold and diamonds are precious jewelry. Both are every woman's weakness and a delightful thing to own and collect.

What store do you usually buy jewelry? I am sure you have your favorite jewelry store because if you asked me, I have my favorite store. My husband bought our engagement and wedding rings in the same store. I love jewelry and I admire it's intricate and precious beauty. Among the many selections, this wedding ring set is my favorite because the design is beautiful and the diamond at the middle is huge surrounded with tiny ones. If I need to upgrade my engagement and wedding rings, I will choose this set. How about you? Do you like it?

Strawberry Smoothie is a Refreshing Drink

I am always on the look out for something that can make my food/ kitchen preparation a no mess and easy activity. The first time that I saw the Magic Bullet was on a TV commercial and I thought, it might be a good idea to buy one. I waited until I saw a good deal at Kohl's and I basically bought my Magic Bullet for only $39 using the sale price plus $10 off. I have this product for more than a year now and so far, this is my best buddy in the kitchen (wink).

Fruits are good for snacking but sometimes, I need something different so; with a little bit of sugar, ice cube, milk and 5 pieces of strawberry, I got a fresh smoothie. Oh come on, you know how to make this one even without the Magic Bullet. You can use your blender too.

This is delightfully refreshing especially on a scorching day. Let's drink!

Making Music with Xylophone

I have one scholar right now and she is in high school. Time flies so fast because I remember when she was still a freshman. She was accepted as one of the band majorettes of the Drum and Bugle in their campus. She was asking for band uniforms every now and then. Each competition requires new uniform and it was truly an expensive extra-curricular activity but, I supported her. She belongs in the top 10 in the entire level and she is into music groups. This year, she wanted to hold the xylophone and she will contact me any time this week about the expenses.

Since she was able to maintain her good grades, I provided what she needs. I was checking the exceptional Marching Uniforms at WWBW hoping to find something that she needs. She was telling me that she needs a pair of boots so; I will keep on looking I guess. She will soon graduate high school and I am excited for her to step into college life.

Craving for Camote Cue

Every time I crave for a Filipino snack, I have to learn how to make it. It is a hard labor to satisfy cravings huh? Yep! Indeed it is! Yesterday, after watching a Filipino TV show where characters were eating camoteque and bananaque, all of a sudden I crave for one. Good thing that I have sweet potato in the pantry so; making this type of snack come easy.

Ingredients:

sweet potato, sliced

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup cooking oil

Procedures:

1. Heat the pan and pour the cooking oil.

2. Let the cooking oil heat-up and add the brown sugar.

3. When brown sugar floats add the sweet potato. Fry for about 10 minutes. Make sure that the sugar sticks to the sweet potato.

4. When it is ready, let it cool. Use 3 to 4 pcs in one skewer.

5. Enjoy.

I usually have a glass of cold Coca-Cola. Yum! Let's chow!

Paddock Riding Boots

Can you believe that Christmas time is fast approaching? It is my favorite time of the year and right now, I am dreaming of drinking a cup of eggnog. It is such a delightful drink to have on a cold Christmas evening. Boy, I am excited just by thinking about it. Anyway, I am sure that pretty soon, winter clothes will be out from the closet and wearing a paddock riding boots will be the most comfortable footwear to wear for that season. Although winter time here in Florida is not freezing compared in up north, I have boots like this one too.

It sure does keep my feet warm. I remember wearing it when we were in Mississippi watching the Mardi Gras parade in February and I was freezing cold because of the wind blows but, not my feet. The boots truly keep my feet warm all night as we watch the parade. You should have one like this to wear on winter season.

Bizarre Foods : Andrew Zimmern

When I am not online, I am glued on TV and two of my favorite channels are the Travel Channel and Food Network Channel. I am fascinated to see the new places featured in every episode and knowing their way of life is just an amazing learning experience even just watching thru a documentary presentation. That is also the reason why I love watching Andrew Zimmern show: Bizarre Foods.

This show is about a regional cuisine from around the world.  It actually feature the food that perceived by Americans as being disgusting, exotic, or bizarre. Yesterday, I was watching Zimmern when he visited Asia. He shows how the food is procured, how it is cook, where it is served, and without hesitation he eats it.

This is the video from Youtube and I actually enjoyed watching it. I hope you will too. I don't know if I have the stomach to eat those but, if it looks good, I probably will try it. We have an exotic food in the Philippines that I have not tried, it is called Balut :-) I just can't eat it (wink). Anyway, check out this video when Zimmern visited Asia. Happy Watching!

Wide Selection of Custom Mats Online

Aside from watching food and home garden shows on TV, I am glued on watching DIY as well. I am fascinated to use the tools and wanting to build easy to make DIY projects at home. See the photo of the garage below? I want something like that. Clean and organize is what I need in our garage right now. The husband and I were discussing whether to use garage paint for the floors or use a custom mat.

Custom Mats Preference
We checked the custom mats online and we were amazed to see the beautiful patterns which are available right now. I watch one DIY project on TV showcasing the coin top garage mat in red color. It was super neat and his collection of expensive cars such as the Lamborghini and Ferrari are glimmering in the room.

Anyway, are you planning to buy a garage mat too? Remember, when choosing a garage mat; consider buying the mat that is highly resistant to oils, antifreeze and gasoline. It will surely save you more money in years and of course, your mat will last for many years.

As for us, upon knowing the wide selection of custom mats, we are still contemplating whether to buy a custom mat or use garage floor paint. If you were to choose, what do you think?

Yogurt Parfait n' Muffin at Cracker Barrel

I always enjoy road trips especially when hubby and I are taking the scenic routes. The last long road trip that we have had was last October and it was amazing that for 9 months to this date, we never have one after that. You know the reason why? We are enjoying our time exploring our new neighborhood and almost everyday, we take the time for short road trips instead. Two hours the most and we love driving down the Space Coast even at early morning watching the sunrise by the Indian River or walk down the beach to have a glimpse of sunset by the sea. Of course, dining is part of traveling isn't it?

Here is my favorite breakfast at Cracker Barrel: a Yogurt Parfait n' Muffin which is a mix of Low-Fat Vanilla Yogurt, seasonal fruit topped with Honey Oat Granola mix of almonds and dried fruit plus the yummy Wild Maine Blueberry Muffin. This is such a delightful breakfast right? Have a wonderful Thursday y'all.

Free Bankruptcy Consultation

There is no denying that our economy is still trying to get better. More and more people are seeking support from the government to survive in this economic crisis. But the government can only do so much like food and shelter. If you are earning much better the year before and end up losing your job, my heart goes out to you because we both know that you have only limited option to take.
Debt Free Goal
Considering that you have a family to feed, mortgage and bills to pay, financial stress is likely to happen. When you tried every possible way to find solution to your financial burden, the last option would be is the bankruptcy free consultation. If there is no way out from the financial mess that you are facing right now, you might consider asking a reputable bankruptcy consultant. You have to weight the situation and do not just decide without asking for second opinion. You might find somebody who can advise you on this matter. Lastly, make a sound judgment. Stick to your goal of finding ways to become debt free.

Let's Make Grilled Plums and Berries for Dessert

I was looking for a tasty dessert recipe a while ago and found this easy to prepare Hot Plums and Berries from Food Network site. I am a fan of Food Network Channel for quiet some time now. On my lazy weekend when I was in PI, I watch the show most of the time. I don't cook and I don't bake but, I love to eat any food that is delightful. Well, not the "balut" though, can't dare that. Anyway, here is the yummy dessert that I am talking about. The Preparation is 10 minutes and Cook Time is 20 minutes, not bad at all.

Directions:

Mix 4 tablespoons melted butter, 2 tablespoons sliced crystallized ginger and 3 tablespoons sugar in a large bowl; toss with 3 or 4 halved and pitted plums. Place the fruit, cut-side up, on a sheet of foil; scatter 1 cup raspberries and/or blackberries on top. Fold up the packet and grill over medium-high heat until the plums are tender and the berries are juicy, 15 to 20 minutes. Serve with ice cream or yogurt.

The Silver American Eagle

Are you a numismatist? Whether you purchase coins for investment or for the fun of collecting the silver american eagle, coin collecting is one of the oldest hobbies that offers a glimpse of history and understanding of the past. Back in ancient times, coin collecting is the hobby of the king and only them as well as the mighty and powerful has the ability to collect coins. Fast track in the 20th century, coin collecting is increasingly popular and anyone who appreciates the value can now collect for as long as they can afford it. Some coins have greater value because they are rare while some coins have intrinsic bullion value such as silver and gold.

Many of these coins can be traded in auction houses and getting a big buck in return is profitable. Therefore, the more you know about coins, the more interesting coin collecting will be. One thing for sure, coin collecting can last a lifetime and the value will increase overtime. If you are looking for investment, you might consider coin collecting for investment.

Best Seafood Restaurant in Port Canaveral

Hubby, a friend and I went to Rusty's Seafood for dinner yesterday. Hubby ordered mussels in garlic sauce which he enjoyed. I love their roll that comes with it. Take note of this address:

Rusty's Seafood and Oyster Bar
628 Glen Cheek Dr, Cape Canaveral, FL 32920

Here's what we have on the table.

This is the ambiance inside Rusty's Seafood Restaurant.

One of my favorite foods at Rusty's, a bacon wrapped scallops.

Here's the steamed oysters.

This is hubby's favorite, mussels with garlic sauce.

I always like their onion rings in golden brown which is cooked in perfection.

If you want the sunshine, take a seat right on this side. It's beautiful out here.
Check it out if you happen to visit Port Canaveral area. If you are cruising to Bahamas or the Caribbean and you still have the time to wander Port Canaveral, check out Rusty's Seafood Restaurant. It's one of the best seafood restaurants in the area.

Finding the Right Web Hosting Provider

Your business needs a website. There is just no getting around it anymore. As few as five years ago, you may have been able to survive without a website, but now, if you don’t have a website, you are missing out on possible business opportunities. Getting a website means that you need someone who can design it. You need someone who can maintain it, and you need a web hosting provider to get it on the Internet.
 photo web hosting provider.jpg
Why Do You Need a Website?

If you are asking yourself this question, you are hopelessly out of the loop when it comes to the state of business today. To answer the question, you have to ask yourself another question. How do people find out about your business or any other business? Remember, when you ask this question, don’t look at your out-of-date friends with their archaic rotary phones who dial 4-1-1. Does that still exist?

Instead, go to a place where the young people with lots of disposable income hangout. Most likely, this will be a mall, but be sure to pick the hip or cool mall (all words that are no longer in the lexicon of youngsters, but mean the same thing depending on your generation). Do not pick the dead mall. Every town has one, and it should not be where you try to do market research. There is a reason that it is dead.

Once you get there. Look at what the kids are doing. They are all on their phones. Their phones are all smart and probably smarter than them. That means that they are doing on of two things – texting or surfing the internet. Guess what? Unless your business is in that mall or on the Internet, your business might as well be a ghost.

A Web Host

Your web hosting provider will not provide you with cocktails or mini sausages. It will provide you with a way to put your website on the Internet in a safe and secure manner for a reasonable feel. Pay attention to the other perks and use them to your advantage, and you will be reaping the rewards of the information age in no time.

Orlando Airport Ale House

Bits of crispy bacon, lots of cheese and fries ... dang ... that's what I craved when I had my migraine. Oh yeah, it helps a lot. Lower your eyebrows friends, LOL. When we went to Saint Cloud, Florida, my migraine was kickin' in. With misty eyes, was burnin' hot and my mind wandered what I would do for relief. A good cold shower helps a bit but, since we were on the road traveling for almost two hours in a scorching heat, pain was really bad. After meeting with a friend, hubby mentioned about Ale House. Oh my goodness, I remember this:
photo loaded fries at Miller's Ale House.jpg
I told him, we will have lunch at Ale House and we drove 35 minutes from Saint Cloud to the Airport Ale House. I ordered the ALE HOUSE LOADED FRIES, a pound of seasoned fries with melted jack and Cheddar Cheeses, scallions, bacon bits and ranch dressing for dipping. This is humongous so; I end up asking for a box after the meal. Burp! Oppsss ...
photo fries at Miller's Ale House.jpg
A blurry shot huh? This is hubby's favorite, FRENCH ONION SOUP: onions sauteed in a sherry broth and smothered in a thick layer of provolone cheese. I did not try but he said this is his all time favorite soup.
photo onion soup at <iller's Ale House.jpg
The husband ordered this too but, we shared. BABY BACK RIBS half rack is one of the specialty at Miller's Ale House. Fall off the bone indeed! It is slow cooked and smothered with southern BBQ Sauce served with choice of Potato and cole slaw. We were so full and had no space for dessert (wink).
photo baby backribs at Miller's Ale House.jpg
On our next visit, I will try the OSSOBUCO. The picture looks good but, was not too thrilled to eat at that time. It is a marinated pork shank served with mashed potatoes,  gravy and vegetable of the day. Sounds delicious right? When we went home, my migraine slowly disappear. (wink) ...

Dealing with Annoying Spam Comments

Website owners have to deal with spam comments every hour. There are those that are funny, offensive and just crack the senses. For me, they made my day in all sort of way. Most of the time, ignoring the spam comments are the best solution to deal with them. For now, let me share these spam comments that lift my eyebrows LOL. I  can't ignore them.
 photo smiley face.jpg
Here are some of the spam comments I got lately:
1. "ӏ'm really loving the theme/design of your weblog. Do you ever run into any internet browser compatibility issues? A small number of my blog visitors have complained about my site not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Chrome. Do you have any solutions to help fix this issue? Visit my weblog" ... ( blah blah blah LOL ) Obviously a bluff!

2. "Please learn to write." LOL :-) Oh this one came from google search and the person is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Do you want the IP address? This goes to spam because the commenter hide to Anonymous. Not brave enough huh?

3. "Good information you have shared here. It will helpful for needy people" ... what the???

4. "Hey just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your article seem to be running off the screen in Safari. I'm not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I thought I'd post to let you know. The layout look great though! Hope you get the issue fixed soon. Thanks Feel free to surf to my blog ..." (blah blah blah)

5 "Hello, I сheck your new stuff liκe evеry week. Yοur writing ѕtyle іs witty, kеep uρ the gooԁ wοгk! Also visit my home pagе ... "

Okay that's all for now. To spammers, thank you for the traffic you gave to my blog. I am sorry to burst your bubble that all your comments did not make it to the web. Let me advice you though, please create a free blog so you can express your sentiments and rantings. Have a great day. Thank you for visiting my blog regularly.

Corn Dog and a Coffee: A Weird Combo

Hubby would always say that I am weird with my food selection LOL. First, he noticed that I ate rice in every meal. I ate stinky fish (LOL), that's what he called for dried fish, hahaha. I ate with my hands. After 5 years, he don't mind at all in fact; he cooked rice every day for me. Filipinos love to eat with our hands but in formal gatherings of course, we are expert in using spoon, fork and table knives. It is also weird for us seeing people eating rice using the fork LOL. I get used to that too. Anyway, here is another weird combination of food that I ate in today's' breakfast, a corn dog and a coffee. Oh, it is so good. Believe me, after this weird craving today, I don't know when I ever eat this combo again, wink.

Lunch at Olive Garden Along Colonial Drive

From Orlando heading to Cocoa on rush hour routing Colonial Drive? Forget about it! You will definitely want to get out from the traffic. We found a way to avoid the traffic. We had to pass the awesome neighborhood in Waterford Lakes to avoid the traffic but last week, we were so famished and it was already lunch time. Traffic was backed-up due to accident so; we decided to stop by at Olive Garden. I ordered a thirsty-quenching limonata while hubby on his usual soda.

Location:
Waterford Lakes
11882 E Colonial Drive
Orlando, FL 32826
(407) 381-8084

The ambiance was good. The service was great though, my limonata was served late. The server forgot about it but, she apologized. It was a busy day so; it happens. I ordered my soup which comes in the meal I selected. My favorite is Chicken and Gnocchi which is a creamy soup made with roasted chicken, traditional Italian dumplings and spinach. Now, I am craving for one.

My main order was Braised Beef and Tortelloni. First time that I ordered this and not bad at all. It is a tender sliced short ribs and portobello mushrooms tossed with asiago-filled tortelloni in a basil-marsala sauce. If you have a great appetite and famished, the portion is a bit small and you might have a room for another soup. Anyway, I will try this again in Olive Garden along Florida Mall area and I can tell the difference.

The caption on the photo is incorrect but, it was too late to edit (Olive Garden at Colonial Drive - Waterford Lakes area). Chow!

Clams and Eggdrop Soup

These foods make me hungry right now. I am certain that after my blog update, my venue will be the kitchen. Hubby and I love to dine out. What do we have to do? It's just the two of us you know. For no occasion, if we feel like going out somewhere, off we go.  Anyway, do you go to a fine dining or buffet type of restaurant? For me, when I am hungry, I want to fed my tummy ASAP so; I go for the latter LOL.

Do you eat seafood? My favorite is Clam. Clams are low fat and high protein seafood. Most of all, if clams are cooked like how the Chinese does, that's perfect and no fried clams for me too. Egg drop soup is another favorite food that I love to include in my meal. Sometimes, egg drop soup is so good but, other times, its not. It really depends who made them. Why I love clams and egg drop soup? It reminded me of my moms home cooked food you know. Filipino foods are the best!

Apple Pie: My Favorite Dessert

I don't usually eat dessert when we dine out. The entree' order fills me up good. When we were in Mississippi, we love to go to Hard Rock Satisfaction Buffet. My first plate is cheese cake and chocolate cake. I have to eat those first because they are so yummy paired with a sweet cup of coffee with creamier. Now, that is my appetizer. I would go to the Asian area to get my rice, piece of chicken and clam soup. Oh my goodness, I miss that place!

Here in the Space Coast, hubby and I found our favorite buffet. It is located in Titusville, Florida and it's a newly opened business. Their food is honest to goodness great. I love their sushi, clams, craw fish and this apple pie is my dessert together with the banana and something like a beignet. This time, no coffee because that's not included in the buffet.

I Love Sushi

I love Sushi and as a matter of fact, I am craving for one right now. I ate this yesterday and now, I can't believe I want this again. The seaweeds are great tasting too. Lately, when we dine at Buffet Village in Titusville, my first plate is always Sushi. I can eat 10 pieces and that's about it, I am full. No room for other menu in the buffet.

I don't eat dessert so; with a filling plate like what I have here, my craving is perfectly solved! Do you like to eat in a buffet? What's your first plate looks like?

Grilled Sausage and Peppers Rustica at Olive Garden

I have been blogging since early morning time but, I took the time off from time time to take a nap and eat meals. I want all my tasks and reviews done this week so that; I can start anew by next week. As I was browsing photos, I saw this plate. Hubby's plate actually when we went to Olive Garden last Thursday along Colonial Drive in Orlando. I know that the caption was pretty messed up. There is no Olive Garden in S Semoran Blvd. Anyway, this is Grilled Sausage and Peppers Rustica. This plate has Italian sausage, bell peppers and fresh mozzarella with penne in a zesty marinara sauce.

Looking at it made me hungry and I told hubby that I want to eat pasta. He had some papers to finish so; we both had no time to go out for lunch instead, hubby baked macaroni and cheese ... lots of cheese actually. My cravings was satisfied today. Anytime this week, we will definitely go to Olive Garden.

Olive Garden at Colonial Drive

Do you like Italian food? I love to dine in the Italian Restaurant. The pasta is so good. Okay regarding the photo below, I meant to say Colonial Drive not S Semoran Blvd, my bad. When my husband and I heads home from Orlando, we decided to have dinner at Olive Garden in :

11882 E Colonial Drive
Orlando, FL 32826
(407) 381-8084

It was our first in this location. The server was very courteous and knows the menu very well. I ordered a limonata, a Chicken and Gnocchi soup, and Braised Beef and Tortelloni. I was already halfway with my soup when I called the server regarding my limonata.

She apologized for the delay, she forgot. Anyway, I had a great meal and I enjoyed the tender sliced short ribs and portobello mushrooms in my plate. The asiago-filled tortelloni in a basil-marsala sauce tastes good and I was full quick that I need to take out half of my Braised Beef and Tortelloni.

The server is pleasant and nice, from time to time she checked on us. Our dining experience is good and whether I will visit this location again? Absolutely!
