#Pringles Cheddar Cheese

Anything with cheese and lots of cheese, I love it! I know there's a lot of cheese varieties out there and cheddar is one of the most favorite and chosen by ordinary folks out there, that includes me. I love cheddar cheese in my grilled sandwich in fact, I like it better without the burger in it. Yummy, especially the melted ones. With Pringles, the cheddar cheese flavor is one of my favorites to snack on. I prefer salty snacks than the sweets. I like Pringles with onion dip ... such a heavenly taste to munch, agree?
By the poolside, taking a "me time" and enjoying my Pringles.

The #Beignets at Cafe' du Monde in New Orleans

Few days ago, 5 of us went to New Orleans Louisiana to visit the #FrenchQuarter and few of the museums in the area. We paid our entrance fee to two of the museums and after doing so; we decided to take a break and have a coffee at Cafe' du Monde. Oh my goodness, I miss these coffee and beignets. The last time I was here was about two years ago.

Beignet is a popular food snack in New Orleans. It's affordable and when we visit the French Quarter, dining in Cafe' du Monde definitely completes the tour. It's like you need to take a box of yummy goodness Pastel when you visit Camiguin Island, Philippines. LOL ... oppss , all of a sudden, I fly to Southeast Asia hahaha. Anyway, I am serious ... you should try the beignets at Cafe' du Monde.

Oh, you should take note that they only accept cash. Your CC is good but, cash is what they need. Besides, 3 pcs of beignets only costs less than $3 so; bring $10/person ... that's more than enough for 2 orders of beignets and a coffee. Affordable right? If you decided to take out a beignet, nah ... I don't know if I recommend especially if you travel back and eat it after 6 hours, LOL. It's not as good as it is served hot. But, if you want ... try to buy a beignet mix, that will be a wise idea.

New Orleans is about an hour and a half from where we are so; when I do miss the beignets, there will be no problem. We can always drive down there and wander in the streets of Bourbon and French Quarter area then, relax at Cafe' du Monde. Hmmm ... awesome thoughts huh?

Snacking with Doughnuts

I admit I gain 2 lbs more this week toink. I am not worried! I was 88 lbs 6 years ago and this week I am 107 lbs. See? I gain gradually so; I am not worried.

Here's what happen, I eat chocolates everyday. I can't resist the rich and creamy GuyLian. Goodness, this chocolate is so good. It really melts in my mouth. Second, I don't drink milk but, for the last few days, I felt the need to drink a full cream milk every night. It helps me sleep good you know. Plus, due to chilly condition in the morning, I can't ride my bike which is the usual exercise that I do.

Pinoy Snack: Camote Cue

Oh my goodness, the soda is at the center! Are you on a diet? Then, this snack is not for you. Camotecue is a popular snack for Filipinos. Camotecue is made of sliced sweet potato, deep fried and coated with caramelized brown sugar. Best paired with Coke but, I ran out of Coca-Cola so; Mountain Dew is a good alternative for me.

Few months ago, my first Camotecue was soggy so; I found another strategy to cook it. I have to deep fry it first then, transferred to a pan. In medium heat, sprinkle the brown sugar to the cook sweet potato. Make sure that every sides are coated with caramelized brown sugar. It will look like this and will never get soggy.

Put 3 or 4 slices in a skewer or eat it as it is. Don't forget a glass of refreshing Coca-Cola is the best soda to pair for Camotecue. Let's chow!

Home Fries with Mayonnaise and Hot&Spicy Banana Sauce Dip

For a long time, I do not like to eat fries. I just dreaded the grease. Not that I am picky with what I eat in fact; I eat anything tasty without minding the calorie content. My husband said that I am fickle minded especially with food choices and kind'a crazy with food cravings really. For example, I love eating avocado. For maybe a week, I will eat avocado twice or three times a day. I will make avocado shake and have it in my sandwich or have it in my salad. After few days, good bye avocado and see you next year. Weird huh? I forgot when was the last time I eat avocado. It's been ages LOL.

Same thing with fries. Last Saturday, I was so hungry when we travel from Cocoa to Orlando so; I told hubby to stop by at McDonalds. I have a large fries and my goodness, it was the best fries I ever had for a long time. Guess what, after the mass yesterday, we did the grocery at BJ's and as we drove home, I told hubby to stop by at McDonald's again and he bought just a small fries.

Today, my mind is on the French fries again so; since I have French fries in the freezer, I decided to make home fries. The dip is made of mayonnaise and hot & spicy banana sauce. I know, my taste buds and cravings are weird. Let's chow anyway! Thanks for stopping by. Have a great Monday.

#ChooseSargentoCheese for Snacking

Do you like cheese? I do but, I am not familiar as to how they taste in comparison to each flavors. There are hundreds of types of cheeses and they come from different countries. I can only mention two of my favorites, I love Mozzarella in pizza and cheddar in macaroni salad. Few days ago, I received this box containing two #Sargento coupon, one is a free coupon and the other is a $1 off. This cute box also contains a single cheese pouch which is really cute.

I went to #Publix in our neighborhood and claimed the coupon choosing the #NaturalBlends #SharpCheddarJack #CheeseSnacks. I never tried this in #Sargento brand so; this will be my first. When I get home, I poured a glass of sauvignon; and sliced a fresh pineapple,  grapes and the sharp cheddar jack.

The taste is an explosion of honest to goodness flavor. The texture of the sharp cheddar jack blended well with the sweetness of grapes and the juiciness of the pineapple fruits. The combination of flavors is delightful and I admit, this is really a great snack whether you are on the go or having a mid- afternoon relaxation.

When I was working in the casino, our break room cook provided me an information about different cheeses. We have more than 20 variety on display as we ordered our hot lunch. I was ordering a quesadilla and don't know what good cheese to add. She added lots of Pepper-Jack cheese.

Anyway, this is a healthy snack that you should try. Get out from that comfort zone and #ChooseSargentoCheese in your snacking for a healthier you.

I disclose that I received these products complimentary from #Influenster for testing purposes. No compensation was received. My opinion is truthful and may be different from yours.

Margherita Flatbread at Chili's

Today, we had lunch at Chili's along South Semoran Blvd in Orlando, FL. For appetizer, we tried their Margherita Flatbread with Monterey Jack, mozzarella and fresh tomatoes with cilantro-ranch pesto on top. My husband enjoyed it the most because the thin crust is so crunchy. It is delicious but, I am not a fan of thin crust. I enjoyed my baby-backed ribs and mango iced tea.

Corn Dog and a Coffee: A Weird Combo

Hubby would always say that I am weird with my food selection LOL. First, he noticed that I ate rice in every meal. I ate stinky fish (LOL), that's what he called for dried fish, hahaha. I ate with my hands. After 5 years, he don't mind at all in fact; he cooked rice every day for me. Filipinos love to eat with our hands but in formal gatherings of course, we are expert in using spoon, fork and table knives. It is also weird for us seeing people eating rice using the fork LOL. I get used to that too. Anyway, here is another weird combination of food that I ate in today's' breakfast, a corn dog and a coffee. Oh, it is so good. Believe me, after this weird craving today, I don't know when I ever eat this combo again, wink.

Berries for a Nutritious Breakfast

Do you love fruits? I love fruits and I usually ate them during breakfast. I choose the ones that I can easily eat and doesn't need time to prepare. While Blueberries contain anthocyanins, other pigments and various phytochemicals, there is evidence that this fruit improves memory. There is also under preliminary research for their potential role in reducing risks of diseases such as inflammation and cancer. It is one of the highest antioxidant capacities among all fruits and vegetables. Antioxidants are essential to optimizing health by helping to combat the free radicals and blueberries provide the greatest nutritional benefits.

The edible fruit below is blackberry. Blackberries are healthy antioxidants and rich in nutrients. It is known to contain a compound called salicylic acid which has been proven to numb bodily pains and treat unusually high body temperature or fevers. Fiber is important in maintaining a healthy digestive system because it pushes toxins and other excess waste through the intestines and supports healthy and bowel movements. One of the soluble fibres found within blackberries is pectin which helps lower harmful cholesterol levels which lowers ones’ chances of heart disease.

You can eat them raw or add it in your cereal. Whichever way you feel, fruits are nutritious food to include in your daily diet. Stay healthy everyone and thanks for stopping by.

Lots of Chocolates and Pretzels

My husband is excited to check the mail for the last two weeks. You know why? It is because of these big boxes full of yummy foodies. The products of Newman's Own Organics and Ashers arrived on the same day. My husband knew that there are chocolates in it. When the company is generous, I can tell that their business is doing great. I am so impressed by the amount of products sent by these companies.

Here's my husband trying to open the box of Ashers. There are two boxes of chocolates and pretzels inside the styrofoam with ice packs.

This is for me because I like pretzels covered with chocolates.

And this box is for my husband who loves chocolates and cherries combined.

After the "taste test" hehehe, I will review their products. Check it out next week guys. Newman's Own Organics will give free products to the lucky reader here so; watch out for it. Thanks for stopping by.
