I Am Not A Cook

When I was growing up, I was never the cook in the house. It's not that I do not like cooking but, the men in the house: my brother, uncle and cousins are good cook. That's their thing and the women in the house just eat *wink*. To live away from them means I have to learn to cook. After 4 years, I am getting used to it. In fact, I love to cook and bake. I am glad that hubby loves the food I served for him. Then again, hubby is the main cook in the house and I did the carpentry job. Isn't it unusual? The pictures shown in this post were taken in Mississippi at HardRock Biloxi casino in the Satisfaction Buffet restaurant. When hubby and I seemed lazy to cook for the day, we just dine in HardRock. It's very affordable to eat in Mississippi compared here in Florida. We miss the food in the buffet in Hard Rock, the Beau Rivage as well as the Isle. Can't wait to visit Mississippi soon and enjoy dining in the buffets.

Disney's Yummy Turkey Leg

Disney's cart vendors are everywhere in Disney theme parks. Disney cast members are always ready to assist guests when they are hungry or thirsty. Inside Magic Kingdom, only one cart sells Turkey leg. After viewing the riders of the Splash Mountain, my friend from the airline company wanted to eat Turkey Leg. So, we look for it. We found the vendor as we walk towards the Main Street USA area.I was a bit embarrassed when I ate the turkey leg because it's a huge leg. And when someone saw a person as petite as I am eating it, so out of proportion. LOLZ! Anyway, I ate the rest at home with my rice. Soooo yummylicious! This turkey leg in Disney is the best!

Quaker Soft Baked Bar

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Quaker Oats for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

When I am working online, it is really hard to get up and prepare for a regular breakfast. Most of the time, my breakfast is light and easy so; I can start my work on time. My husband and I work at home and usually he fixes wholesome food for our breakfast. Quaker oats would be our usual breakfast snack especially when we have so many things to do. Easy fixes works better for us that is why we always have breakfast bars in the pantry. Eating breakfast snacks give us the energy to keep going and finish what needs to be done before lunch time.

We are very picky when it comes to breakfast bars. Hubby told me that we will try Quaker Soft Baked Bar because it has cinnamon pecan flavor which is hubby's favorite. This is a soft baked bar so; I know it is really good and delicious since it is a Quaker product.

I would love to try banana nut bread because I love banana. On my spare time, I bake banana cake with nuts on top or mixed it with raisins. One protein bar can fill me up because it is nutritious and excellent source of Vitamins. I would definitely try this Quaker Soft Baked Bar.

My Love for Gardening

I love gardening. In fact, when we bought the condo in Orlando, I miss the garden in Mississippi. Yard and pool maintenance are included in the monthly HOA fees in both condo properties that we have so, no sweat when it comes to cutting the grass and all.

I long to have a yard where I can landscape, a garage where I can do DIY activities, have a shed to keep my power tools and most of all do yard work myself. I love to get dirty and yes, I have the time for gardening because I stay at home for the moment. I resigned from my work in the casino two years ago this month. Wheww! It's been a while! I will find a job after our tour to Europe this October.

Anyway, we just bought a house two months ago. All the wish list, we got it. We are still in the process of landscaping, buying new tools because we give away all our garden tools when we bought the condo. I love to mow the lawn especially when I use the riding mower. It makes me happy to see my plants in the morning. It is very rewarding when my roses bloom, pak-choi has happy leaves, or tomatoes bear fruits/vegies. I have the time to make my hands dirty because I got nothing to do at home. Everyday is exciting and there's so much to do!

As a matter of fact, I bought jalapeno and rose mary from WalMart today. Those will be added in my vegies/spices area at the back yard tomorrow. Wanna see?

Food Trip and Road Trip in Pennsylvania

This post brought to you by PA Tourism. All opinions are 100% mine.

When my husband and I lived in Mississippi, we are both lazy to cook at home so; we dine out a lot. We checked out the delicious buffets in the hotels and casinos as well as premier restaurants and diners in the area. Sometimes, we took short roadtrips to either Alabama or New Orleans just to satisfy our cravings for food. We do not want that our travels will be limited to Gulf Coast so; my husband and I plan to explore the East Coast this year.

I've never been to Pennsylvania but, when I was reading all the information provided by visitpa.com, boy oh boy... I wanted to hit the road and travel to PA "asap".
