Chocolate Crackle Cookie

We have an ALDI Store here in our neighborhood and while I was checking for flour and some baking ingredients, I saw a box of KRUSTEAZ. It's homemade, made easy indeed! I super love the taste. It is soft, smells good and delicious.

Ingredients:

1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 pouch chocolate crackle cookie mix
1 pouch powdered sugar

Procedure:
1. Pre-heat oven to 350F.
2. Mix oil, eggs and cookie mix in a bowl. Stir until soft doughs are form.
3. Prepare 1/3 cup powdered sugar in a separate bowl.
4. Use a spoon to make a rounded dough, coat with powdered sugar, roll into a ball and coat again into the powdered sugar.
5. Place the dough ball into the cookie sheet with parchment paper.
6. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes.
7. Let it cool before removing to wire rack.

Great Chinese Food Buffet

What's up you guys? Are you having food trip lately? Well, here's mine. Me and hubby were busy yesterday. We went to NASA's Kennedy Space Center to see the opening of Angry Birds Space Encounter attraction and after an hour, we went to Titusville and dine in Buffet Village in this address: 3125 Columbia Blvd, Titusville, FL 32780 (321) 268-1778. This Chinese restaurant is the favorite of my husband.

They have delicious selections of Chinese and American food. They have great tasting egg-drop soup, wide selection of salads, pastries, desserts and more.

This is my first plate, want some?

Check out the prices below:

We usually dine for lunch and for less than $20 for two, it really is a good deal for both of us.
.
After we dine, we went home to see the TICO Airshow. We live just five minutes from the airport where the airshow was held. We can see it from our frontyard so; no need to pay $45 to see it upclose. This airshow will run for three days so; it will end on Sunday. How about you?

Good Food and Great Music

I have a friend in college and we get along well especially with shopping, good food and great music. My friend has her own music composition. She loves to record her own music and download the video online. Of course, we (her friends in college) enjoyed hearing her voice again. Her videos are mostly live from the gig she went to at night. She also shared her acoustic version of some hit songs. I bet if she uses avid pro tools download, her recordings will be perfect.

She might like the idea. When we were in college, we sing-a-along and record our informal singing jamming sessions using a tape recorder in fact, I still have them. Those are fun memories to remember.

Celebrating St. Patrick's Day

We have friends came over last weekend and my hubby served his special recipe of corned beef and cabbage. The friends brought the famous green beer all for the sake of St. Patrick’s celebration. They also brought with them a box of alec bradley cigar.

The guys went to the gazebo after lunch and talk about good old days. It was a beautiful day and the weather was great. How about you? Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? My husband has an Irish descent so; celebrating St. Patrick’s is a cultural and religious observance for him. This holiday usually celebrated every March 17 and generally involves public parades and festivals. Wearing of green attire or shamrocks is common during the celebration. Since this is a religious activity, Lenten restrictions on eating and drinking alcohol are lifted for this day only. Happy St. Patrick’s Day Everyone!

Home Fries : Perfect Brunch

Yesterday, hubby did all the cooking and since I already baked the pandesal or he calls it hot rolls, all he did was cook the home fries and sauteed a hotdog with tons of onions, garlic and sweet cherry tomatoes.

Ingredients of home fries:

2 1/2 pounds potatoes, peeled and cut into desired size
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon McCormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning
salt and pepper to taste
3 pcs bacon, baked

Directions:
In a medium-high, heat the olive oil in the skillet and sautee the onion, season with seasoning, salt and pepper to taste, and add the potatoes in a single layer. Cook and stir occasionally until well browned on each side. Transfer to a warm platter and crumble the bacon on top and serve hot.
YUMMY!

Guitar Tuning is Harder than I Thought

After lunch, I usually listen to music while having a siesta time. I do strum guitar too and though I have one right now, my biggest problem is learning the tuning. After playing so many times, it needed some tune up. I have a hard time setting the pitch so; I chatted to a good friend who lives in Switzerland. She did help me via video chat but, when I was in the 4th string, it just snapped! Oh boy, I got no luck! I will have to buy the string and contact her again.
I played guitar since I was in fifth grade. I own two guitars already and I want my third just like the photo above. The cool fender starcaster is an awesome addition of my guitar collections. For some reason, tuning is harder than I thought. My uncle and brother taught me strategies but, they had enough hehehe. Before I called my friend, I bought a guitar tuner, goodness ... was never successful. I can only strum my guitar when it is properly tuned. I have no problem reading the chords and have my fingers in place. When I saw the guitar above, it reminded me to buy the string and finish the "tuning session". I can't wait to play my guitar again.

Panera Bread at Fashion Square Mall in Orlando

"We are bakers of bread. We are fresh from the oven.
We are a symbol of warmth and welcome.
We are a simple pleasure, honest and genuine.
We are a life story told over dinner.
We are a long lunch with an old friend.
We are your weekday morning ritual.
We are the kindest gesture of neighbors.
We are home.
We are family. We are friends."

Fashion Square Mall is located in East Colonial Drive in Orlando, Florida. It is a two-story indoor shopping mall where locals and tourists can shop in Dillard's, JC Penney, Macy's and Sears. When I wanted to have an easy shopping experience and avoid the rush of tourists, Fashion Square Mall is a good place to shop and Panera Bread is a favorite restaurant that hubby and I love to hang out.

Anyway, I love this location because the staffs are friendly in fact, I saw people taking advantage of their FREE WiFi for the longest time and yet, Panera Bread consider the costumers friends and family, as what was stated above.

My favorite cafe soup is Broccoli Cheddar which is chopped broccoli, shredded carrot and select seasonings simmered in a velvety smooth cheese sauce.  The photo above is tuna sandwich with leaf lettuce, tomatoes and red onions, my personal favorite sandwich. Oh you should check out Panera Bread at Fashion Square Mall.

Antique Brass Finish Kitchen Cabinet Door Handle

This is one part of our kitchen which is my little nook for baking and cooking. After enjoying our kitchen for less than a year, I wanted to have a bigger kitchen if ever we plan to buy another property in the future. My husband and I choose a stainless steel appliances and choose this dark colored cabinet.

Regarding cabinet pull, we check some items in industrial supply companies and decided to get a metal base material which is known for durability and built to last. We wanted to have a classic look to our traditional style cabinetry so; an antique brass finish is just perfect.

Did you know that I installed it myself? Oh yeah and I used an electric drill which was so easy to install. Do you like it?
