Spick-and-Span Kitchen

This is our kitchen and after few days of packing and de-cluttering, I can now rest and blog. Last September, we have been planning to move back to Mississippi to be closer with our family. We made arrangements to our realtor last Friday and we signed the documents to list our property in the real estate market. We left few personal things/furniture for staging and just maintain the cleanliness for clients viewing.

We have a small eat-in space now and I am hoping that in our new place, we will have a big dining area. Right now, our kitchen is in spick-and-span. We will just maintain the cleanliness which is harder than I thought because we love using the kitchen. It's good to be messy sometimes hehehe.

Well, everyday is a waiting game. Anytime, our realtor will be calling us for clients. We told her to give us two hours to set everything straight. We will leave the appliances behind of course. I am hoping though that on our next place, we will have a stainless appliances as well. I love to have an island with granite countertop too. We already saw a potential home to buy but then again, we have to wait for this house to get sold. I hope it will be fast and will offer what's on the asking price.

Today is the 3rd day. After posting my blog update, I have to go back packing things again. Whewww! I am so tired really. That's all for now and thanks for checking my blogs always. Take care y'all.

Antique Brass Finish Kitchen Cabinet Door Handle

This is one part of our kitchen which is my little nook for baking and cooking. After enjoying our kitchen for less than a year, I wanted to have a bigger kitchen if ever we plan to buy another property in the future. My husband and I choose a stainless steel appliances and choose this dark colored cabinet.

Regarding cabinet pull, we check some items in industrial supply companies and decided to get a metal base material which is known for durability and built to last. We wanted to have a classic look to our traditional style cabinetry so; an antique brass finish is just perfect.

Did you know that I installed it myself? Oh yeah and I used an electric drill which was so easy to install. Do you like it?

It's Fun to Shop at IKEA Orlando

IKEA is an acronym of the founder's initials: Ingvar Kamprad who at that time, 17 years old; Elmtaryd is the farm where he grew up; and Agunnaryd in Småland, South Sweden, is his home parish. We love to shop at IKEA Orlando Home Furnishings. It is located in Eastgate Drive in Orlando, Florida. We bought most of our kitchen appliances, and bedroom furnishings from this store. Most of their products are made "ready to assemble" so; it might take your time but, it's fun. Before we head to shopping, we usually go to their restaurant and dine.Sometimes, as part of their marketing strategy they offer FREE breakfast but, I guess not so many people know about that.Joining the Family Club would give the customers more priviledges such as free coffee for every visit and lower prices compared to the regular retail prices. The Family Club is free for everyone and you can make your account online or visit the kiosk and in seconds, you can register and get the card. Here are some of thier bedroom display.Have you seen some of the designs in HGTV shows? Some of the accessories used in their home staging are IKEA products.White dining area display at IKEA.White kitchen, so dainty huh?For an open concept design, here's the dining and kitchen design ideas.

Window Treatments

Window treatments can make a home looks inviting, cozy and gives color to a dull living room, bedroom, playroom and kitchen. The choices of the design, color, size and prints play a big impact after the window treatments. It makes the room bigger too provided you chose the right color, good fabrics and the texture of the materials you incorporated inside the room.We just finished doing the window treatments inside our bedroom and we are planning to do something in the kitchen too. We have two good size windows and with curtains on it, it will surely give a little charm. Kitchen Curtains are pretty specially when you have a big window and you just want to block some of the natural light from the outside. If you are planning to add window treatments for your kitchen area, visit brylanehome.com and shop in their curtain selections.
