Celebrating St. Patrick's Day

We have friends came over last weekend and my hubby served his special recipe of corned beef and cabbage. The friends brought the famous green beer all for the sake of St. Patrick’s celebration. They also brought with them a box of alec bradley cigar.

The guys went to the gazebo after lunch and talk about good old days. It was a beautiful day and the weather was great. How about you? Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? My husband has an Irish descent so; celebrating St. Patrick’s is a cultural and religious observance for him. This holiday usually celebrated every March 17 and generally involves public parades and festivals. Wearing of green attire or shamrocks is common during the celebration. Since this is a religious activity, Lenten restrictions on eating and drinking alcohol are lifted for this day only. Happy St. Patrick’s Day Everyone!

  1. hello amy. Living here in Ireland made me appreciate St. Patrick's Day more. We usually watch the parade and it's fun to see Filipinos participate in such parade. Last time, they wore ati-atihan costumes. Love those green beers. Here, I think most pubs serve a special Guinness.

  2. We didn't really celebrate, except for being sure to wear something green!
