Mango for Snacking

Okay, we went to #Aldie today and I was so glad that the mango is only $1.19, way better than $1.99 price right? I bought 3 and I can't contain myself from eating one when we arrived home. I also bought plantain for snacks later. It's been a long time that I bake a cake. I am not too fond of sweets and that probably hinders my enthusiasm to bake a cake.

Anyway, for now I am savouring the taste of this semi-ripe mango. Oh so good ... really! The taste is sweet and there's a bit of crunch to it in every bite. You will get this texture if you pick a semi-ripe mango. The green and un-ripe is not sweet at all and all you will get is the sour taste. This is good because the combination is perfect and it will just explode in your mouth hahaha sweet and sour combo. You will know what I mean if you are drooling right now and craving for mangoes LOL. Anyway, thanks for stopping by in my blog. Enjoy your day.

Fresh Fruit Smoothies Using Magic Bullet

Happy Chinese New Year! I know it's a bit late but, it doesn't matter. Everyday is a new day right? Did you celebrate Chinese New Year? What did you do to attract the good luck? We don't celebrate it but, it's always good to have lots of fruits on the table and some sticky foods for that day. I am feeling the Chinese celebration already. I got fruits so; what did I do with these?
Using my precious Magic Bullet, I can make fresh juices out of these. No mess, easy to use and healthy drinks in a minute. Really! This is not a sponsored post by the way. I bought this gadget for $49 on sale and I think I bought it in either #Kohls or #Belk. I am not sure. I got this for almost three years now and have been using it almost everyday.

I recommend that you should have this in your kitchen. It saves the effort, the time and if you hate the mess, magic bullet will do the trick.

Right now, I am having a pineapple and banana smoothie. Yum!

Fruits and Veggie for my Table

Summer time here in Florida is hot and humid. Gardening is not fun at all and I admit, some of my flowering plants withered, sad but that is beyond my control. Glad to note that some of my plants endured the scorching heat. These are the fruits and veggie for my table. My Kumquats are doing well with few remaining ripe fruits and new greens showed up.

The vines of my grapes are thriving so; hubby and I did a DIY project. It is not done but, we are getting there. The grapes are getting bigger each day and I am excited.

This will be my last batch of Okra and I am saving some seeds to make another set of new ones. Okra is so easy to grow and does not need bigger space. You should have one and it grows well in pots too.

Here is my precious Calamondin which is known as Calamansi back home. For my consumption, I never run out of fruits and I am so happy I found this plant at Wal-Mart about a year ago for only $9. It is now 5ft tall.

Next time, I am sure I will be making a calamondin jelly and of course, calamondin juice. Now, all of a sudden I want a calamondin juice. What have you got in your garden? I would love to hear about it.
