Excellent Credit History

Here in the US, credit history is very important. It is hard for an individual to apply for a mortgage loan once he or she got a bad score. The higher the score, it proves your good rating in "credit worthiness". The willingness to repay a debt is indicated by how timely past payments have been made to other lenders. All lenders like to see a consumer debt obligations paid on a monthly basis.

If you have a 750 score and above, your standing to get approve by a lending institution is more likely. You have all the advantage to get a low interest in your loan application. Lending institutions will trust you if they see your high score. If you have a good credit history, you should maintain it because if it goes down, it will affect your future loan application.

If you have a negative credit rating, it is often considered as undesirable to lenders as well as other extenders of credit for the purpose of loaning money or capital.

Therefore, you should pay your bills in a timely manner because; it is always nice to have a higher score. You should aim to get that excellent credit score so that your mortgage loan application will be approve right on.

Identity Theft

I was watching a real life story of a teacher who was a victim of Identity Theft. There was this woman who was so envious of the life of the young teacher who was happily married. She was stealing the mail from her mail box and from that point on, she was able to know where she work and acquire all other personal information without the knowledge of the teacher. Identity theft is a very serious problem here in the US. If you are not careful, then you will be the next victim.

The victim's pursuit of justice was not easy. It took her years and in fact, there was a time when she was held up in the airport as impostor, her identity was used in illegal because when that theft was arrested for human trafficking, she used the teacher's name.

After year's of running from the police authority, she was finally apprehended and the teacher finally get back her life. But, the shadow is lurking behind her name. It totally damage her life, put a big scar on her name and a damaging credit score. All of us are vulnerable in this type of fraudulent act so, take precautionary measures and don't trust anyone.

Importance of Credit Score

I should not be enjoying my food if I have problems with my credit score. You might ask, how does it relate to one another, food and credit? Here in the US, your cash is good but, if you have no credit cards, you cannot build a credit history. Most of us used credit cards when shopping and dining out simply because it's handy and safe to use. So in cases like, you want a housing loan or a car loan, there is no one can back you up regarding your trend of payment whether you pay good or not. So, the rate of interest that they can give you for car loan or housing loan perhaps will be much higher. It's not a good start but, hey at least you can start building your favorable score. On the next project that you may have in the future, your credit scores will determine the kind of person you are. If you pay your bills on time then, your credit score will soar high and it can make your life easy and all the good financial opportunity will smell your high score.

Using the credit cards online such as you pay your bills, online shopping and in any online activities you may have, you should guard your important information or else, you will be a victim of identity theft. How serious is this case? When someone access your personal information and use it such as credit card application then, you are in great trouble. They might use your identity and use it for illegal purposes, your credit score will be in jeopardy and your life will be in great misery. How do you guard your identity? Do not just give out important personal information to anyone and avail the free credit score which you can check once a year and yes, it's FREE.

If you are a victim of identity theft, report it to the right authority because if not, it will boomerang to you and will affect your life and your family. In this time of crisis, we do not want this problem right? So, be cautious and monitor your credit score at least once a year.
