Lindt Lindor Truffles

Finally, my busy week was over. The #VBS culminated last Friday and I was so relieved for I can have my "me time" back. I had fun with the kids and I would certainly do it next year if I have a spare time. We were 3 adults in the group and the in-charge gave us this bag of truffles from Lindt, one of my favorite brand of chocolates. She is so sweet, her way of saying thank you to us for assisting her.

This will last me a long time for I am not a chocolate monster LOL. Anyway, my mom, niece and nephews would love to have this for sure. This goes to the Balikbayan Box.

Newman's Own Organics Are Simply My Favorite

By far, NOO is the most generous company that I worked for and I am happy to tell you that their products are worth buying for. When I told a cousin that I received a big box with generous amount of products from Newman's Own Organics, she was blown away! She knew about Newman because she uses their products such as the sauce and dressing. I told her that Newman's Own and Newman's Own Organics (NOO) are separate companies.

NOO started as a division of Newman's Own in 1993 by Nell Newman and her business partner, Peter Meehan. In early 2001, NOO became a separate company. The two companies have separate lines of products and as you can see the photos below, all products came from Newman's Own Organics or NOO.

Their products are the following:
1. Pretzels
2. Chocolate Bars
3. Fig Newman's
4. Family Recipe Cookies
5. Chocolate Cups
6. Newman's O
7. Pops Corn
8. Alphabet Cookies
9. Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar
10. Coffee
11. Dried Fruit
12. Pet Food
13. Hermits
14. Mints
15. Royal Tea
16. Licorice
In the box which was packed perfectly are the following:
6 chocolate bars; 1 bag of Prunes, 4 mints, 4 Newman's O, 4 licorice, 2 bags of pretzels, 1 hermits, 1 Fig, 2 chocolate cups, 2 Family Recipe Cookies and 1 Alphabet Cookies. A total of 28 delicious treats and honestly, I still have the pretzels and cookies today.

Here are my favorites:

1.) Newman’s Own Organics Hermits are old-fashioned soft cookie. I tried the 9 oz pack Cinnamon flavor and in the pack has twelve cookies. Hermits have delicious organic raisins and sweetened with organic molasses. It is spicy (not overpowering) and chewy cookies. 3.) Fig Newmans is sinfully delicious! This fig bar is made with organic figs, organic sugar, organic flour, and without hydrogenated oils. The name is licensed from Kraft, sounds unique though and I like the name given. This is by far the most tastiest fig bar that I ever tried. I only got one pack but, I was craving for more so; I went out and buy. I highly recommend this Fat Free Fig Newman. The moment I open the box, hubby and I already picked our favorites. I love the Peanut Butter Brownie and Blondie. These are so delicious and tastes heavenly! Tinolang Isda

When hubby and I went to Orlando, I drop by at the Filipino store to asked info regarding the Balikbayan box I sent last February or March. They were kind enough to help me locate the box and now, back to square one. A long story but, I thank them for helping me out. It will be resolved this week. I will be back on Thursday to check the box before it will be forwarded. Anyway, I bought a bokchoy (pechay) and other vegies as well as Filipino soy sauce and vinegar. My husband loves bokchoy and I also bought "longganisa", a spanish sausage for him to try.
We had a good breakfast and lunch today, simply homemade. The photo above is "Tinolang isda", a Filipino dish. Chow everyone!

Pink Violin

This is a cool violin isn't it? Does any of your family plays violin? I think this is one of the hardest instruments to learn. Whoever plays with violin, I call them genius! I can only play the guitar, not an expert though and I don't see myself playing a violin. It is too complicated for me.

If you are wondering where you can buy this gorgeous violin, you can buy cellos at musicians friend. I just love the flower prints of this product and though it is so pink, it is not overpowering.

Lunch at Olive Garden Today

We went to Orlando today to meet a plumber for our condo. The renter has minor problem regarding the toilet so; we had to fix the problem right away. It was fixed in two hours but, by that time we were so hungry. We decided to have lunch at Olive Garden. I was so full!

Do you have favorite in Olive Garden? I just love their soups, salad and bread sticks and for the main menu, I can't think which is my favorite because I love eating them all.

Great Food and Wonderful Music

Food and music, I love them both. Fridays and weekends, hubby and I love to have dinner in a restaurant along Cocoa and Cape Canaveral area. Great tasting food, amazing music and friendly guests surely turns a restaurant into a perfect place to unwind.
Last weekend, hubby and I dine in a restaurant with so many tourists. They were dancing barefoot on the sand and it was a nice evening. There were lighted torch, the band played music all night long and their soloist has good quality of voice. I noticed that the soloist uses the microphone that is similar to the best shure 58 at guitar center. Why I know? He lets the guests to participate in singing so; he hopped from table to table. The man next to us was given the mic and he sang one sentence of the song. It was an interesting night and we had a great evening.

Good Breakfast at Cracker Barrel

Happy Father's Day! Did you take the men of your life to a good treat today? How did you celebrate Father's Day? I bet you gave a card, a gift and took the family to a nice dinner? that's really great and I bet you all had a wonderful time. Hubby and I started our day attending mass and I treat him for breakfast at Cracker Barrel in Titusville. It's our favorite place for breakfast because we love to buy goodies after the meal.

Breakfast Sampler
We decided to just spend the day movie watching on Netflix. We watched The Numbers Station starring John Cusack, Hunger Games and Jack the Giant Slayer. When we were tired, we spent the rest of the evening at the gazebo. We started grilling and making kabobs.

Chocolate Coated Cherry

Hubby's festive dessert is Chocolate Coated Cherry especially at Christmas time. It is creamy, smooth in texture, sweet and juicy. It is really rich so; this candy is his favorite. As for me, I can only eat one piece with a full glass of water.

I am not really fond of chocolates because I prefer chips. I like white chocolates, chocolate covered pretzels and chocolate covered nuts. How about you?

Great for Banana Cue

One of my favorite snacks is the nutritious and delicious banana cue. It is a deep fried banana coated with caramelized brown sugar. A friend who lives in Louisiana sent me this banana. I told her that our Asian store here doesn't sell this type of banana so; she was so kind enough to send me this. When I crave for banana cue, I just use the plantain but, nothing can compare the right consistency of banana cue using the bananas in the Philippines. Plantain is soggy but, it can at least satisfy my craving.

As you can see, I have a bonus goodies too. She sent me a cracker. She is such a sweet and generous friend. Thank you so much Ging Chloe for these yummy great treats. I am so grateful for your generosity and kindness. God bless you always.

Chocolate Covered Pretzels

This is my favorite Asher's Chocolate covered pretzels. I like chocolates but, not too much. I prefer salty snacking so; chocolate covered pretzels are my kind'a snacks to munch in any given time. There is a balance taste to it, salty and sweet and the latter is not overpowering. Honestly, I can't eat a whole bar of chocolates unless there is a pretzel or nuts in it.

Now, what about you? Which do you prefer, a bar of pure chocolates or chocolate covered pretzels?

Ale House Loaded Fries

Oh yeah, this is truly delicious! Forget about losing weight for few hours yeah? If you love french fries, go and visit Ale House in your area and try the Ale House Loaded Fries. Hubby celebrated his birthday with his friends and co-workers at Miller's Ale House along this address:  6141 S Semoran Blvd Orlando, Florida. Hubby and I enjoyed the company of his friends. While hubby was talking from one friend to another, I was busy munching the fries LOL. I could have enjoyed it more if this order arrived while it is hot and the cheeses are melting and chewy at the top. It was a busy evening so; I totally understand the server's service imperfection.

Okay now, the ALE HOUSE LOADED FRIES is a one pound of seasoned fries with melted yummy Jack and Cheddar Cheeses, Scallions, Bacon Bits and Ranch Dressing for Dipping. I tell you, this is huge and could be shared for two. This is only $7.99 ... yep, affordable huh? Try it!
