Asian Buffet

I love to travel and one activity that is very important for me is checking out fine dining and buffet restaurants in the area. If I am not that hungry, I usually prefer fine dining. That is not the case when I am famished. I don't want to wait a long queue to be seated plus, waiting time for the order to serve on the table usually 15 minutes or more. My grumpy tummy would be complaining by then so; buffet is good.

All these photos were taken in a Chinese Restaurant in Singing River Mall in Mississippi. I told you I love to travel and yep, been there.

Just last week, when hubby and I traveled to the Midwest, I was so hungry and was craving for steamed rice. The only place to buy a good steamed rice is Asian Restaurant. We stop at Chattanooga Tennessee and bought myself a take out Chinese foodies. That food really fills me up until the next day.

Last Monday while we were driving home, I was craving again for steamed rice and spring rolls. Thank goodness for a Korean restaurant, I was able to buy the food.

I can't live without rice in a day I guess. Check out these desserts. I love cheesecake and brownies. They are so good and when I ate desserts, I always order coffee with cream. Such a delightful meal for me.

How about you? Do you prefer fine dining or buffet? If you happen to pass by in Biloxi, Mississippi, you should check out the buffet in their casinos. OMG! Very festive, affordable and yummy!

Croquetas de Pollo

When I was growing up, I always visit my grandma. She loves to cook. I always dropped by her workplace after school. Her fettuccini with Alfredo sauce and croquetas de Pollo are my favorite food. She died when I was in College. When we visited Saint Petersburg and dine at the Columbia Restaurant at the Pier, I was amazed to see this:I still miss the recipe of my grandma. It was better than the Croquetas in Columbia.

Columbia Restaurant at the Pier in St. Petersburg

Saint Petersburg is about two hours drive from Orlando. We went to the Pier just to have lunch at Columbia Restaurant known as the oldest restaurant in Florida (1905).I ordered chicken and yellow rice which is called Sarapico, a traditional dish from Ybor City in Tampa, Florida. OMG! Their plate is huge and this portion can fed 4 hungry people. On the plate is a quarter chicken baked with yellow rice, onions, green peppers, tomatoes, spices and virgin oil. It taste good but, not my favorite. All the ingredients are over-powering.As I've said, the food is good but, not for me.All main entrees include hot Cuban bread and butter. I'm not a fan either. It just tastes bland but, our friend enjoyed it.The location of this restaurant is awesome. It is over-looking the Tampa Bay where anyone can see glance of dolphins playing on the waterfront. The picture above is the Pier and this restaurant is located at the top floors. While enjoying your meals, you will enjoy a panoramic view in 360 degrees. If I want to go back? Sure! I will check it out again and try the other recipes.

Pick-Two Orders at Panera Bread

This soup is a creamy chicken stew with carrots, leeks, peas and diced red potatoes garnished with dry jack cheese biscuit. I love the soup but, I just don't like the biscuit. For me, the soup is sellable as it is even without the biscuit. Here's one of my favorite soups in Panera Bread, broccoli cheddar. The look of the Bakery area in Panera Bread. This is the all natural sonoma chicken stew with dry jack cheese biscuit paired with smoked ham and swiss sandwich. My favorite pick-two order. My husband ordered broccoli cheddar soup with tuna salad sandwich.Panera Bread is our favorite place to meet clients. It is a very convenient meeting place, has a good WiFi connection and the food is great.

Long John Silvers and Taco Bell

We went to BJ's the other day and did our grocery. On our way home, we stopped by at Long John Silvers and grab me a fish and fries meal while hubby chose the crunchy tacos. I am not crazy with hush puppies but at Long John's, I can eat few of these. I only eat the cod fish , it taste alright but, the fish meat is lost with the thick batter, LOL. Anyway, my husband loves the tacos. I did order one soft taco for me, it taste good. Once in a while, we came here if we crave for whitefish fillet.

Delicious Food

I love Tony Roma's Restaurant at South Semoran Blvd which is nearby the airport. The ambiance in this location is great plus the servers are knowledgeable of the menus. We tried asking them about their signature steaks and they explain it very well. We always have a beautiful dining experience at Tony Roma's. Oh, try their Baked Potato Soup which is topped with grated cheddar cheese, bacon and chives. It is very delicious. This menu is from Columbia Restaurant in Saint Petersburg, Florida. This is Chicken and Yellow Rice, one quarter of chicken baked with yellow rice, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, spices and virgin olive oil. It taste good but, the portion they served was really HUGE! If the guest is famish, this is the good menu to order, LOL. I also ordered the croquetas de pollo which is good but, I love the croquetas of my granny though. This is my first visit and I enjoyed the meal. I will definitely dine in the Columbia Restaurant and I might pay a visit in the Celebration area. This plate is from IKEA Restaurant and served for breakfast. In less than $3, you can shop the IKEA store and never gets hungry for more. This is Eggplant Riojana from Columbia Restaurant which is my hubby's favorite food. It is a sliced eggplant breaded with ground plantain crumbs with rich Rioja sauce of tomatoes, garlic, capers, olives and red wine topped with melted Galician Tetilla cheese.
It is always nice to eat at home and prepare a homemade recipe. My husband loves to cook in fact; he was a cook when he was working in the Army. This is one of my favorite meals: a baked a garlic porkchop and creamy pasta with mushrooms.
Let's Chow! Do not forget to exercise LOL! You need to burn the calories! Merry Christmas Everyone!
