What's in a Salad ?

What you see here is an Entrée salad, served as a main dish. It contain a portion of protein and in this particular serving, you see a chicken breast sliced into strips. Who doesn't love green and vegetable salads? This is a very healthy meal that is very filing for the whole day.

What's in a salad? It includes leaf lettuce and vegetables with a sauce or dressing. Most salads are traditionally served cold that is why, I just got this fresh from the fridge. Green salads including leaf lettuces are generally served with a dressing but, in this particular salad, there is no nuts or croutons. It does have a sweet tomato, strips of carrots, sliced onions, chicken strips, cheese and a hard boiled egg sliced into halves. The dressing that I used is two thousand dressing and the taste is simply devine.

This is another salad which is simpler in preparation. I used an Italian dressing and pour it into the lettuce, sliced tomatoes and lots of cheese. I prepare this as an appetizer salad. It is very light to the taste enough to stimulate my appetite.Salad vegetable is so easy to prepare. Common vegetables used in a salad include cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, spring onions, red onions, avocado, carrots, celery, and radishes.

Other ingredients are the following: pasta, olive, hard boiled egg, artichoke hearts, heart of palm, roasted red bell peppers, cooked potatoes, rice, sweet corn, green beans, black beans, croutons, cheeses, meat ( such as: bacon, chicken), or fish ( like tuna or shrimp), are sometimes added to salads.

You can also experiment your vegetable salad that might contain lemon, tomato, radish, beetroot, cucumber and green chili peppers.
