I didn't even know that Klout influencer's will get freebies. My first #kloutperk was a #shutterfly #photobook but, it expired. I didn't realized that I have it after a year. This is my latest Klout Perk, a Brownie Brittle. I will be receiving this product soon and I can't wait to try this. Prior to this, I received two packages from #Ricola, the all natural cough and sore throat relief. Now, go to your Klout account and check if you have any. Good luck and thanks for stopping by.

Pinoy Snack: Camote Cue

Oh my goodness, the soda is at the center! Are you on a diet? Then, this snack is not for you. Camotecue is a popular snack for Filipinos. Camotecue is made of sliced sweet potato, deep fried and coated with caramelized brown sugar. Best paired with Coke but, I ran out of Coca-Cola so; Mountain Dew is a good alternative for me.

Few months ago, my first Camotecue was soggy so; I found another strategy to cook it. I have to deep fry it first then, transferred to a pan. In medium heat, sprinkle the brown sugar to the cook sweet potato. Make sure that every sides are coated with caramelized brown sugar. It will look like this and will never get soggy.

Put 3 or 4 slices in a skewer or eat it as it is. Don't forget a glass of refreshing Coca-Cola is the best soda to pair for Camotecue. Let's chow!

Guitar Playing

If you love music, learning to play the guitar could be so easy. There are songs that you can play using 3 chords or 4 chords. Other songs have complicated chords though and needs strategy to sound better like guitar plucking. I have no talent for that! The first song that I learn to play is Yesterday by John Lennon. There are probably 3 or 4 chords which for me are hard to position but, practice makes perfect so; I was able to play and sing along with it after days of practice. More than Words by Extreme has easy to follow chords as well.

I admit that right now, I seldom play my guitar because I am having a hard time tuning it. No matter how I tried, I can't tune my guitar alone and I need someone to tune it for me. That's a hassle and ... terrible, I know! After seeing this martin d-28 guitar online, I wanted to play my guitar. I went ahead and tried tuning my guitar. No luck for me! This is insane!

Childhood Memories : Cotton Candy

When I was little, my mom gives me a reward if I go to church with her. It works! 6 AM mass is too early right? I was so eager to go with her as long as she buys me a popcorn and cotton candy after the mass. I should behave too or else, there will be no watermelon when we do grocery shopping after the mass. Oh boy, after seeing this cotton candy at Golden Corral today, it brings back memories LOL.

His Audio Headphone

My husband loves to listen to Pandora and though I like some of his music selection, sometimes he played his music too loud. I bet you know how I feel right? There are times that I want peace and quiet times but, that's the time he played his music with the volume's up. Oh, it was frustrating really!

I found a solution though. I gave him an audio headphone last Christmas and I thought he will not use it but, I was wrong. He used it everyday, thank goodness. Well, it may not be as nice as the american audio headphones but, it sure does solved my problem. Hubby can now listen to Pandora in his own world without annoying me with the loud music. Shhh ... don't tell him about my rant LOL.

Fit and Active Products: Fat Free Snacks

Aldie is one of my favorite grocery stories for one good reason, low price. If you think Wal-Mart has lower prices, go and check out Aldie and you will be blown away. I will give you an example, Titusville Florida- a gallon of 2% milk costs $4.08 in Wal-Mart but, in Aldie it's $2.99 and guess what, other Aldie stores priced it at $1.99 (Merritt Island). That's true! Next time, I will take a photo to prove that Aldie has low prices. Anyway, you heard about Fit and Active products right? If you are on a diet, you should check out this brand.

My husband is diabetic so; he tried this cookie cake and guess what; it's delicious. You should try this devil's food because it's not too sweet and its really delicious. Buy it and let me know but, I am sure that you will agree. I am not on a diet but, thanks to hubby for introducing this devil's cake to me. I like it a lot.

Here is another snack that I would like you to try. This cookie is good for diet, tastes great and very affordable. Just visit your Aldie store and find this product #FitandActive and I am sure, you will like it as much as I did.

Happy Times

One of the most amazing activities that I did when I was in high school was visiting my favorite radio host, Ate Joy A when I have no class. Her radio show was a hit by students plus, her selection of music was truly the best and captured the hearts of young listeners in my time. Sundays, I hang out in the radio station and she has shown me how to operate those confusing keys. Which key to turn on when there's a caller and how to put them on the air.

There was a recording studio and I tell you what, they have a singing contest as well and yep, I am one of those who can't make up to the monthly finals LOL. Anyway, inside the studio, it was overwhelming but, in a good way. Singing was like using the save on scarlett 2i2 and my voice sounds better inside the booth. I miss those times of joining the singing competition and playing the requested music on air. Those days were happy times for me.

Why Are Some Car Dealers Better than Others?

Obviously, my opinion may differ with yours and everyone else. Depending on our own experiences when we walk into a car dealership. There was one time when my husband and I went to checked out a reputable car dealer in our neighborhood. The car dealer company was truly recommended by a friend. When we went inside, we have no plans of buying. Guess what, after probably checking their inventory for almost 2 hours, we drove home a new car.

They have large inventory but, we were checking for an SUV so; that saves a lot of time. Besides, we know already the price of the car that we want. The best part was that their customer service was excellent. Hubby and I were in our casual clothing. We told the salesman that we just want to look at their inventory but, he was there and answers all our inquiry. We paid full in cash and that was it! The bottom line was, some car dealership is better than the others because their salesman look at everyone who walks into their premises as potential buyer. That salesman is so lucky that day!

Breakfast is Served

We have so many things to accomplish today so; I prepared a big breakfast. I love white rice and I basically eat rice 3x a day. Well, my husband finds that weird but, most Filipinos do eat rice on a daily basis. Some  are on a diet so; they eat red rice.

That's sautéed string beans with tomato and onion, scrambled eggs for me and sunny side up for hubby. The vegies are really good. What's yours?

Carrot Cake Bread

Today, I tested my new Cuisinart Automatic Bread Maker and I decided to make the carrot cake inspired by the Cuisinart Recipe Booklet.
Hubby enjoyed this Carrot Cake.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup crushed pineapple
1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup freshly grated carrots
1/3 cup chopped mixed nuts (pecans, walnuts, cashew)
1/3 cup raisins.

1. Using the Cuisinart Automatic Bread Maker, spray the bread pan with cooking spray and make sure the kneading paddle is attached.

2. Place all ingredients in order listed above into the bread pan.

3. Press menu button and select #7, Cake/Quick bread program.

4. Press Start/Stop button to mix and bake.

Note: While the batter is mixing, scrape the sides of the bread pan with a rubber spatula to incorporate the ingredients.

5. When the cycle is complete, remove from the bread pan and place it in a cake platter to let it cool.

6. Enjoy!

Cheesecake Sampler

I have a friend in college who loves to order different flavors of cakes just like the layer of cheesecake below. Every time I saw this, I always remember him. Anyway, for those of you who are not dieting, you can buy this Wellsley Farms Cheesecake Sampler in the bakery section in BJ's Wholesale Club in your area. This is worth $13.00 but, if you find a coupon, you can get this for only $10, truly worth it.

Right now, there's two more slices left so; I'm heading to the kitchen and satisfy my craving. A slice tastes really good. You should try it.
